Works very well at welding battery together

Works for welding nickel straps in battery packs
Reasonable price for a well made battery powered spot welder. The leads and tips we're better quality than I expected and the delay & duration of the weld is configurable. I used it to create a new 7.2v NiCd pack for a dewalt power screwdriver using 0.2mm thick nickel straps. This worked well, but I'm not sure it would cope with anything much thicker.

Didn't weld
I fully charged the battery tested it on a spare battery with 0.15 slotted nickel plated steel strip at setting 30 and it didn't weld. I tried again on setting 60. It made the short noise and there was a small spark. It had nearly welded. I turned it up to 80, full of confidence, but it went back to the same as it had done on setting 30. After that, no matter what I did with power settings, I couldn't get any welds. I tried various strips - nickel, steel and nickel plated. it simply lacked power. I have a Sunkko welder too that did perfect welds on all those materials. It's a bit more awkward to use because of the fixed electrodes. I was hoping to find something easier to use, but this SeeSii welder isn't it. I don't know if it was faulty. I've now returned it.

Perfect for Power tool battery packs
Have made up 3 Ryobi battery packs with replacement 18650 cells. Doubled up on the supplied strip and it worked perfectly. Only needed a setting of 3 to 4. Very good tool, not as cheap as some but it appears if good quality.

Excellent Value.
This is a very handy piece of kit for spot welding battery blocks. It does exactly what it states. I had a small problem with mine, but was blown away by the customer service. They set me right in a day. I recommend it to anyone. Just be sure to charge it up at least once a month.

Tips to do the job
With some practice it will do the job. Don't expect the same results as the original batteries but it will work just fine. With practice I found that you will get better results if you do not press hard with the probes. The harder you press, the less it welds to the point it doesn't hold. It welds better if you clean the surface of the battery with a rotary tool and a diamond bit just enough to remove the shine. Pressure of the probes should be about the same as you would write with a pen. I've renewed 3 battery packs for my tools and they work very well. I used the 1.5 timer at 8.0 power level to get a good weld. It can also be use as a power pack for charging your phone or other rechargeable items by usb.

Would not take a charge, was not able to use it even once
Hadn’t gotten around to using it for months after purchase. This item's battery either self-discharges or it has a continual battery drain while off, such that the battery will be damaged within a short number of months unless recharged regularly. If the item will not take a charge, it is done. This could happen because it is old stock (not even very old) or because like me you simply hadn't used it after receiving it or had put it on the shelf for a period of time. When this happens the batteries are damaged and I would discourage all but the most familiar with batteries from attempting a repair. Please dispose of the item responsibly as you would a lithium battery. The symptoms of not taking a charge are that when you plug in a charger, if the charger has an ammeter it will show only a low current such as 0.2A or less, and the battery charge display shows full charge bars with the charging lighting icon and if you press on/off while charging it indicates low battery. If this is the case, your battery has been over-discharged (even if you've never used it) and the item is garbage. It will not take a charge in this state, the current being supplied by the charger is going to drive the onboard circuitry but is _not_ charging the battery, it is not charging when in this state not even slowly. I know because I disassembled it and measured. This is actually as it should be for safety, the problem isn't that it won't take a charge it's that the unit uses power or has high self-discharge when turned off. There is no on/off switch to disconnect the battery which would allow storage of six months or more at part charge.I will not give any details on repair (which means replacement because over-discharged lithium cells will have excessive internal resistance from then on) because there are significant dangers when working with lithium batteries and the possibility of inadvertently shorting cells of this size could lead to fire and personal injury. If you need instructions from a reviewer on this site to attempt the repair, you should not be attempting a repair. Just dispose of the unit. This was a disappointing purchase.

Couldn't ask for more!
I'd been on the fence over buying a battery tab welder for a long time now, but I really needed one for a project that I was working on. So, I bought this unit. It was nearly fully charged but followed the instructions and let it charge fully. (Took less than an hour.) And then put it right to work. Did two test weld, and then assembled a 12 volt battery pack in less than 1/2 an hour. Didn't miss a beat, produced excellent welds and didn't even use a bar of battery charge. I don't know why I didn't buy this thing sooner.
