Just recently I was in a car accident and the seat covers kept the airbags from the passenger and driver seat from deploying. They did deployed but because of the seat covers they stayed inside the seat covers.

I purchased this (the mx-1 seat cover system) mid April 2022 for my 2017 Toyota Tacoma. The package was very nice that it came in although a bit unnecessary. It comes in a giant zippered fabric bag, not unlike how a new comforter blanket for a bed would be shipped.The covers themselves thus far are very nice, and don’t seem to move or slip on top of the Tacoma fabric seats. They slipped over the seats very well, but obviously not as good as a set of Clazzio seat covers would have (those are upwards of $900.00, and not found on Amazon). The covers took me a few hours to install front and back seats, and definitely is an improvement over the fabric cloth stock seats.I would check your seat cover package upon arrival that you have:-each seat cover, and headrest cover-the hardware necessary to attach it to your seat. There are circular plastic pieces that attach to the elastic bands that go into your seat and hold the cover in place (you can find this info in the how to install videos), and small metal hooks used to clip into the underside of the seat. My seat cover package DID NOT have these clips, so I made due with zip ties, because why not right? Nobody can see them, and I’m not going to wait another week to get metal clips in the mail.Pros:-they look very close to being the real seats-overall easy enough install (easier if you fully remove the front seats when installing, but not necessary).-seem to repel dog hair ok so far. My dog sheds a ton, and that will be the test going forth.-look better than the off-blue stock fabric seats.-appropriately priced, considering you receive front and back seat covers.Cons:-headrest covers could be tighter. It’s like putting a hat on my headrest that could come off like that scooby doo meme.-the bottom seat cover could be longer and fit better on the sides where you adjust seat inclination. It just moves the seat cover fabric around because it’s just too short.-the back seat cover for driver and passenger side comes out a little bit which makes it more obvious that it’s a seat cover, although I suspect that will “wear in” with time, and conform to the shape of the back part of my driver side/passenger side seats.-didn’t have metal clips that clip to underside of seat. Not a dealbreaker but annoying.-back seat cover requires you to slide seatbelt through the cover. If you can’t figure it out you will need to remove the 1/2 inch seatbelt bolt and slide it through. Funny there is no mention of this. Do better luckyMan.- LuckyMan Club claims this is for access cab. No it’s not. This is for the freaking double cab. I had to look at the pictures they supplied and just assumed they didn’t know that a double cab Tacoma is what it’s called. Again, this fit my 2017 Toyota Tacoma DOUBLE CAB (luckyMan club, they call it this because there’s two sets of doors in the cab). Access cab means you have to access the backseats from the front doors, and the seats tilt forward.-these seat covers could fit better overall (a bit tighter, and more form fitting)If you are on the fence of getting these over the 900 dollar form fitting seats and you’re wondering if you should break the bank or not, I’d say these do the job. They’ll get you the look you want at a relatively affordable price. Your significant other won’t complain over a couple hundred dollars, but they will if it’s almost a thousand.

Bought these for a 2019 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. They fit extremely well covering all surfaces. The only negative was how the items were packaged and what resulted as a consequence of their packaging.The covers were lightly vacuum packed in their shipping containers. so whoever placed them into the bags before packing didn't stop to consider how that method of packing would effect the product. What happened was the elastic bands and buckles on the backside of 1 cover were placed against the faux leather on another. The unfortunate results were the buckles and band put heavy indentations on the faux leather. The unsightly marks are very slowly bouncing back however I'm not sure they will entirely disappear. it's been about 2 weeks now and good improvement so I'm hoping they will all eventually pop out.I thought about returning them but decided not to because these are the best fitting covers I could find for the 60/40 bench seat in that price range and the indentations are slowly popping out.Simple fix to the manufacturer- place all faux leather surfaces against each other and not against the fastening straps/buckles.Updated review 12.13 22 - I'm updating the review from 4 to 5 stars. The indentations mentioned above have virtually disappeared after weeks of being installed. they still need to be packaged better but they are excellent covers for the gen 3 Tacomas allowing full use/operation of both side of the bench seat without any issues and they do provide Full Coverage of the factory seats.

I’m quite satisfied with this purchase for my 2022 Tacoma. I purchased a different set for my old 2012 Tacoma ($170) and was extremely disappointed to realize I was taken by the “tailor fit” description which was not the case at all. They were garbage. This product however is definitely a “tailor fit”. They could be better slightly but I’m 98% happy with everything. The cutouts for the head rest and locking mechanisms are all properly placed and easy to tuck in around the plastic making it feel custom. The fit is good and it’s very easy to install without taking the seats out. Took me about 30-40 minutes. The highlights for me are this:1. You can tuck it into the driver side plastic so aside from one little part where the covers meet, it looks custom and fits great. Also adds another seat pocket which is missing on the stock driver seat.2. The back seats are actually custom fitting as well and go together nicely and you can still access behind them with messing up the covers.3. The black on black actually do look very good and I like them better than the stock cloth.The one thing I cannot attest to yet is durability. I don’t know how they will hold up after time and use.Lastly, they come vacuum sealed so they are slightly wrinkled when they come out as you can see from my pictures but I’m sure time and sun will fix that. Otherwise I may try a heat gun from a distance to work them out.I think laying them out in the sun would be a good idea if it’s warm when you’re doing this. It was a chilly fall day so I just went ahead and stuck them in as is.
