Great terminal--if only it fit larger rolls of paper!!!
Decent product. I just received an additional $100 back from American Express for upgrading to this terminal, even though I purchased it in the summer of 2014. My employees have had no complaints about ease of use.My only gripe so far is the allotted space for the roll of thermal paper. I purchased a case of 85' rolls (on the advice of some merchant processing salesman with a video on YouTube...shame on me), only to discover that the terminal can only accommodate 50' rolls. I had actually made a good effort to look up the specs and see what roll capacity would work, but the manufacturer never shared that information.

Will not run EMV chip debit cards as debit transactions.
Do not waste your time in buying this machine. Ingenico has not yet released the software to allow EMV chip enabled debit cards to be run as debit transactions and therefore all your customer's debit cards that have the EMV chip will be run as credit cards (even if debit is selected) and thus you the merchant will be charged the higher transaction credit card fees than the lower debit card fees. From my understanding Verifone does not have this problem.****UPDATE**** Well the machine's firmware was finely updated by Ingenico, HOWEVER, it now gives the customer the option of choosing Option #1 VISA DEBIT or Option #2 US DEBIT. You would think that where the DEBIT option was initially selected, not CREDIT, then the option give to the customer would be type in their PIN, but no, Ingenico made up these two ADDITIONAL options which confuses the customer and they generally select Option #1 VISA DEBIT, because its first. TURNS OUT THAT OPTION #1 is using the debit card as Credit Card and thereby the same problem exists, YOU GET CHARGED THE HIGHER RATES AND FEES, and it does not process as a debit card. The Customer has to choose Option #2 US DEBIT to get it to run as a debit transaction. Again, if I didn't know better, the VISA/MASTERCARD industry is giving Ingenico some kind of kick back for the way the set up the machine to funnel people into using their debit cards as credit cards, else why would the entire machine be geared up funnel people into using their debit cards as credit cards. We also have a Verifone vx520 and it does not play these games with the user/customer. It's straight forward and the software for the EMV chip has taken Debit Card transactions from the beginning. Save yourself a lot of $$$$$$$ and don't buy the Ingenico. This company should have a class action lawsuit filed against it, and I know what I am talking about, I am an attorney and this is a law office!

Designed poorly
We were forced to get this machine when we changed our credit card processing provider back on Nov 28, 2016. Rather than lease for 48 mos at $17.00 month (total - $816.00) we went ahead and purchased for $336.00. Past machines never had a problem mechanically so we thought we saved money. WRONG!! This machine decided today to stop printing out paper receipts. I called and spoke to a very nice tech that knew nothing. We went through a checklist of trouble shooting ( I had already done it for myself before calling) and he just did not know what to do. After that wasted call, I went on the computer and found the tech manual for the machine. One look at the open paper door photo and I realized a tiny gear on the paper roller had fallen off and as soon as I pushed it back on - magic- it works. I had described the bare rod at the end of the roller to the tech but he was clueless and thought a new machine was in order. I can't believe the design that allowed this tiny gear to come off. Our old machine never had a problem in ten years and was only replaced because of processing change. They don't want you to fix your machine just push for new purchase. Never again for me on this brand!!

unequivocally the worst processing machine I have ever used
I wish I could give this machine zero stars. I've worked in the restaurant industry for 23 years so I am very familiar with the different types of credit card processing machine there have been. This one is hands-down, unequivocally the worst processing machine I have ever used! It makes you press several buttons to execute what on other machines is a simple, one button process. It is also the slowest machine I have ever used and it holds very little paper so your constantly having to refill it if you work at a busy location. I hate everything about this model!!
