I went back and forth about buying this because I wasn't sure how this would look in person, but when the price dropped to $60 I scooped it up...and it is so awesome! I gave it to my Mom for an early Christmas present and she loved it. Getting the ball centered is a little tricky but after a few times I'm able to do it easily. Also, I thought this rotated on its own but you can spin it slowly and it will stay spinning slowly, or quickly, or you can just have it floating, which also looks pretty cool. It works great as a nightlight too. The only thing- you have to find somewhere stable to put it where the base or the ball won't get knocked around. However, If the ball gets knocked off-center, it will immediately magnetize to the side of the base so it doesn't really fall unless the whole base gets knocked over. Also, I imagine if someone had cats they would probably tear this thing to shreds lol. Overall, this is a really cool light and would make a great White Elephant gift. Very happy with this :)

Editing my original review from 1 star to 5 stars:After contacting Amazon about our first lamp being faulty, we were able to exchange it for a new one. We got the new one floating in under 5 minutes and it is really cool! Everyone who sees it is mesmerized. I highly recommend this product. There is no mistaking it being "tricky" vs faulty. If the magnetic pull is literally sucking it out of your hands to the circumference of the base, it needs to be replaced and is totally worth doing so. My 11 yr old and his friends can get this new one floating, so it should feel doable in a matter of minutes.Original review:Feeling totally foolish here. The reviews and videos all say it's "tricky" to get it to levitate, but that feels like a major understatement! We've had five people trying for over an hour & can't get it to float. We feel the resistance, but the second we even think about letting go, it slams to the outer circumference of the base. I'll update the review if we can get it working, but currently feeling defeated and ready to return out of hopelessness 😞

The media could not be loaded.  Kinda difficult to set up but once it’s in place it works. The sphere is t 100% round so when it’s rotating it’s kinda wonky when it spins. The main issue is after about an hour the sphere falls off and I have to reset it but again it’s difficult because you have to set it in the perfect spot for it to levitate. In the process of returning it now.

This was the only gift my son asked for for Christmas. While the box with the product appeared to have already been opened and taped back together, I decided to keep it. My son was ecstatic. However, that has now faded as the moon falls and clunks every night. It's placed on a side table and doesn't get disturbed (we have no pets) so I don't know why it keeps falling. It's very upsetting as it cost over $80. Packaging has already been thrown away so I doubt I can return.****UPDATE****Customer service reached out and determined the product was most likely damaged in shipping. I received a new moon and it works great! My son is so happy! Customer service was excellent. They resolved it quickly and professionally. Highly recommend!

Love this lamp! It’s bright and the kids think it’s magic. The only thing that’s tricky is that it’s hard to position it just right to get it back to floating if someone bumps it. It takes a few tries. Otherwise it’s so cool and I would recommend this as a gift.

Bought this as a gift for my husband. He is absolutely delighted with it. It does take a bit of patience to set it up but it looks lovely and you have a choice of colours for the light. It is mesmerising and you could say I am over the moon!
