My grandson wanted a nightlight for his room here at my house and chose this one. It’s bright enough to light up his room at night, but not bright enough to shine into hall to bother others.

The media could not be loaded.  I have been curious about these 3D displays for a while now. A flat piece of plastic with lighting underneath does not scream 3D to me. Pulling it out of the packaging was underwhelming, since there is a piece of protective plastic on the display piece, making any image on the display invisible. It was some bit of work to get my fingernail under that protective plastic (where is the tab that sticks out for easy removal?). Even with the protective plastic removed it looks like a plain piece of plastic underneath.This is where that feeling of wonder comes in. With an overhead light on, you can see the 3D image of the dragon… but it really shines when it is dark. It is pretty amazing how clear and 3D it becomes. The dragon is a nice representation, with good details. The remote-controlled available lighting has a lot of variety including color cycling. It takes 3 AA batteries or use the USB-C cord (no power adapter). I like it! I really want to take at least one star off because of the protective plastic being hard to remove, but I am not going to. This is perfect for children, teens, and nerdy adults with a love for dragons.

great for kids as nightlight

When I ordered this for my husband I knew he'd love it. So I gave it to him at the end of September it is now less than a month past his bday. Last night we were awoken to smoke and the acrid smell of fire!! Luckily we are both light sleepers and we quickly disconnected and put it outside. It's cool but not worth your house burning down. Additionally I'm not eligible for a return. Be careful is all I can say and hopefully mine was just a freak occurrence as frequently happens in my life. 😆

It's ok, but not like the as advertised

This dragon nightlight will appeal to kids of all ages who love fantasy/Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings, etc. I originally got it for myself as I love dragons and fantasy, but my nieces enjoy it more than I do so I gave it to them. The dragon can change just about any color you want including phasing through different colors and strobing, but you need the remote to use it. The remote is quite small and easy to lose so make sure you hold onto it! After some searching, we did find a spot on the base you can press to turn it on/off on the basic 7 colors so keep that in mind if you misplace the remote.The light comes with a USB cord and a battery cavity. We use a power block that we are not using for one of our phones as the light burns through batteries pretty quickly. It is nice to have the battery option, however, as that makes it easy to take with you if you are traveling or want to move it in between rooms for different bedtimes.My main issue with the light is that it is pretty fragile for something intended for kids. We have already scratched the dragon in several places while removing the film, moving it around in the room, and taking it out to show it to others. None of them are big enough to notice when it is dark with the dragon light on, but I wish it was made of sturdier material to withstand a little more handling. Still, it is a fun nightlight and will be sure to appeal to anyone who loves dragons!

I honestly didn't know what to think about this when I got it because some of these I have found are great others don't look as good as pictured. However I can say this lights up nicely and shows exactly what is promised. Don't do what my stupid butt did though and that is I forgot to take the backing off and lets just say you can't even see the dragon its such a night and day difference so don't forget the backing. It changes a few colors by itself cycling or with you clicking the remote as well. My mom loves it I use it for her and she said lights up the room perfectly to walk to the bed without falling so as you can see it is more than just some night light. Great for gifts especially this holiday season but I love ours and I think you will too.
