Awesome sounding vinyl reissue!
Like all the Blue Note Classic and Tone Poet repressings, this record sounds great! My copy lies perfectly flat. It sounds very dynamic with no surface noise. Exactly what you want in a vinyl record. Couldn't be happier with these releases!

A reference quality recording, exceptional drum & bass sound, staggeringly good, buy this record!
Vinyl Review: Blue Note Classic Series 2022Cover: Heavy card stock, clear image and print, unusually a gatefoldLiner: poly lined paper replaced with an archival sleeve post record cleanVinyl: flat silent no visible pressing defectsThis is a reference recording for the presence and the drum sound. Overall a very detailed recording with a huge sound stage. The clarity and definition of the drums is exceptional. I have few if any records which come close to this recording. If in doubt buy this record!I have not set out to write reviews of the music content as “beauty is in the ears of the listener”. These reviews are about the quality (or not) of the recorded sound. To read about how the reviews are done please see my profile. • Clarity - outstanding • Channel separation - outstanding • Channel balance - outstanding • Sound Stage – very broad open spacious. Detailed excellent sound stage • Distortion – non audible • Compression – Excellent dynamic range, huge frequency range • Atmosphere – front row at a club, the bass and drums are so well defined • Bass – low frequencies – reference quality drum sound each and every element of the drum kit is audible and has slam and punch as well as the crisp sound when a drum is struck. Just outstanding. The bass and the organ have a deep and rich resonant tone and sound • Treble – high frequencies – crisp, open, airy, sometimes a bit separated from the bass sound • Vocals - noneAs a general rule of thumb recordings from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s are nearly always better on the original vinyl. Remasters often fail to please as it’s just not possible to make a silk purse from a sows ear, i.e. the original recording lacks the necessary detail to be processed digitally and show an audible improvement. Indeed such processing can make the sound worse.Modern recordings which have been processed digitally from start to finish can be as good as vinyl. CD’s are often unfairly criticised for being poor quality. This is not the case, it is the original recording or the process which is to blame. Modern “remasters” can both enhance and degrade a recording. The statement GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out) is the limiting factor. Ignore this at your cost.

Excellent Album
Great album. So so pressing. Had to order two just to get one that wasn't so warped that it wasn't unplayable. Good mastering though and quiet pressing.
