I bought this item in a flash sale. It took about an hour to fit. YouTube helped a lot.There was plenty of room to fit the new media unit under the CD player unit.Works perfectly with existing in car controls and speakers/microphone.Once set up the car detects my iPhone and automatically fires up CarPlay.A long press on the menu button drops back to the BMW system.

Useful piece of kit to add Apple Car play to a BMW/Mini. Make sure you watch several YouTube guides on install which will help. Once installed it works well and after connecting a phone it joins seamlessly on start up. The settings menu allows the display and volume to be customisable so it works well with your existing settings. One plus is you can play the car radio whilst using Carplay for navigation.

This wasn’t to bad to fit to my car was easier than I thought to fit after watching videos on YouTube but it never worked properly, every time I went in my car it wouldn’t connect and I had to re pair to my phone, I contacted the seller which gave me an update for the box but it still didn’t work so had to return.

Pretty easy to install. Works perfectly fine with my wife's iphone and with my xiaomi.

I had been looking for about a year and couldn't make my mind up but thought I'd go for it..Took a few hours to install mainly because I had to separate the OEM loom a littleto make the wires reach. The pictures included were not massively helpful but I didn't need to contact support. My F15 X5 had a much larger head unit so putting it all back together was a cram and there was no help for camera wires etc. But all in all it's really good and functionality provided far outweighs the odd niggle.

Connected it all together but isnt turning on. Cannot contact the seller.

Now having car play in the car is wicked

I had this professionally installed (just under £200) so an expensive bit of kit but it works fine, but no touchscreen so a little awkward to set up routes for navigation, but hugely better than the built in mini navigation. I purchased a stand-alone CarPlay for my motorhome which has a touchscreen and is far easier to use at a third of the cost but I wanted to use the built in display in the Mini so could just about justify the additional cost. It was easy to pair my iphone using both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and it all works reliably.

Installato in un paio d’ore sulla mia F22. É da un mese che lo utilizzo e mi trovo molto bene. Il cellulare si connette automaticante prima ancora di accendere la vettura. Lo utilizzo da un mese e finora sono più che soddisfatto!

J’utilise le boîtier depuis 4 mois pas eu de problème sauf à la mise à jour de iOS 17.0.2 qui a rendu impossible la connexion au CarPlay mais solutionner sur la version iOS 17.0.3.Pas de complexité sur le micro, la sortie audio (en auxiliaire).Installé sur une série 1 120d F21 avec amplificateur Harman d’origine.

Habe es für meinen 1er Baujahr 2014 gekauft.Funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Sieht immer etwas kompliziert aus ist es aber gar nicht.Klare Weiterempfehlung! Danke!
