Anna and Sarah Unsulfured Dried Apple Slices in Resealable Bag, 2 lbs (1 Pack)

I have ordered 6 bags of these apples over the last few months. I waited to write a review to see if the quality and consistency was the same on all the orders. It is! They are dehydrated but are soft and easy to eat; making for a great consistency of texture and flavor. The natural flavor of the apple explodes in your mouth; they are so yummy!! I have a dehydrator and I can't come close to the excellent taste and softness of these apples making them on my own (believe me I have tried). I have received 2 bags that the apples were darker colored than in other bags but it didn't effect the taste so far. I also have received in every bag a stem or two, seeds or part of the core in the middle of the apple slice that was dehydrated. I highly recommend trying them but just watch out if your feeding them to younger kids. My dogs love to snack on them with me too.Okay now for the Pricy part. It costs me about $25/bag including taxes for 2lbs of apples. They tasted so good I didn't realize I spent $150 on 12lbs of dried apples in a short amount of time! It is much cheaper to buy bags of apples and do it yourself but they won't be as good as Anna and Sarah make them. They only have one size..the 2lb bag so you can't get a smaller or larger bag if you wanted to adjust the price or amount you spend. Although they are on the more expensive side, I love The Anna and Sarah brand and the consistency and taste make it impossible to try another seller.

I bought these, which are from Argentina rather than from China, and they're just what I was looking for. They're still moist - not crispy - but it's a nice chewy experience - just the thing I was hoping for. In the past I bought cheaper dried apples than these, but they reminded me of packing foam. The consistency was definitely weird. These are fine.

Excellent! Already re-ordered. Very apple-y, good texture and flavor. I chop these up and simmer them with cinnamon in my oatmeal.

Overall these had good flavor. I made fruit soup with them (it's a Swedish thing) and ate a few pieces while cutting them up. Be careful as there are some core/seed pieces in some of them.

The softness and chewiness of this product left a bad taste in my mouth. It wasn't as good as other products such as Bare.

I ordered 3 x 3lb bags for cooking, 9lbs total. All 3 bags had many pieces of core, stem, and peel. More than 50% of the pieces needed to be trimmed before they could be used. I have seen other reviewers mention this, while others have mentioned very few core and peel pieces so it likely varies from batch to batch. But, in the 9 lbs I ordered, about 12oz total was discarded and it took a great deal of extra prep time to trim and inspect before I could bake with them. Flavor is good but I don't want to deal with all the extra prep work again so I will not be re-ordering. For casual snacking it will probably not be much of an issue as you can simply eat around or discard the undesirable bits but for cooking these were a ton of extra work.

These apples are more moist than some I have had. They are mostly in round slices with fewer smaller bits. The flavor is delicious and I am especially pleased that they contain no added sugar or preservatives.
