not sure where it came from. When my dog ate it, she left bits of stuff everywhere. I will probably never buy one again. It was a mess to clean up.

Q: What are specific ingredients?

According to the Red Barn web site, the only ingredient is beef muscle roasted in it's own juices. My dogs love them. It takes them about a week to finish a 7 inch braided treat.

Q: looks like it lasts for some and splinters for others. case by case basis?

I have had no issue with the bones splintering my doberman is on his fifty bone. Because of the way they are cooked they don't fracture like a raw bone, they do break off into pieces that he eats or leaves scatted so i can walk on them :)
