I would rather pay extra a tube and support a family company that makes these in the USA. You can get the knock offs cheaper, but why? Why not support American made products?

Q: Will this hold up to an older kids chewing? Looking for my almost 3 year old who is autistic.

They make chewies that look like a P in different thicknesses and the dark blue one is for those kids that can bite through they or have more oral behaviors so they won’t break. Not this item. But I have used them with my clients as a behavioral therapist.

Q: Is this approved by the aap? seems to be a choking hazard.

People saying “watch your child” isn’t answering whether or not it is a choking hazard. You can still watch your child and they can still choke on something. My child will shove this too far back and it’s basically a never ending war of pulling it out after she gags, she put its back in too deep, pulls it out after she gags. Being next to the child doesn’t prevent choking just prevents serious consequences such as what could’ve happen if you wasn’t there if the child was choking.
