Around my house pretty much every wall power outlet is occupied by some plug,and to be able to get eight additional outlets in one plug,is a huge space saving method,not to mention the elimination of all the clutter that comes with having additional USB adapter plugs connected to your wall outlet!! It is about time the industry started to adopting USB ports built into surge protectors! USB plugs used to compete for room with regular electrical AC plugs! And they're not small in size,actually in most cases,they'll take space for two plugs!!Having equal amount of USB charging ports to AC outlets is a smart and practical design,as more and more USB powered devices are in use nowadays! USB charging ports can handle up charging speed of 5V/2.4A Per port while protecting your devices from over charging, 4 USB ports provide a maximum of 4.6A,which means you can charge four phones or two tablets/iPads at the same time!! They also support 5V input USB devices. Main power shut off button is a great feature,in case you decide to cut off power to more than one device at the same time.
