This power back is spectacular! This came recommended to me from a friend so I gave it a try. When it arrived I honestly didn't think a power pack this small would work. My old one I keep in the garage is half the size of a car battery and weighs almost as much. This is about the size of a cell phone and twice as thick. I needed it today to jump a portable generator that had a dead battery. In 10 degrees it it wouldn't even turn over. I connected the cables to the power pack, connected it to the battery, and it started right up. I disconnected the power cable from the battery pack and disconnected it from the battery, and done! This little wonder is going in the truck for sure, and I'll buy one for my wife's car as well.

I bought this portable car jump starter in case of emergencies which didn't occur to me yet but it also came in handy for non-emergencies situation. The device seems to be well made and it has held up well so far to being used several times as a charging device for my phones.Detailed jump start instructions are printed on the jumper clamps which is very considerate in case I lost the user manual.The intelligent jumper clamps (unlike other simple clamps) has over current protection, short circuit protection, overload protection, over-voltage protection, over-charge protection. It will check for the battery level, warn if the connections are reversed, and low battery buzzing to indicate jump starting needed.It also comes with a sturdy carrying case that fit all accessories and cords and leaves plenty of room for additional cables. The flashlight has 2 modes (steady light and SOS) and is bright enough for lighting up the immediate area when you are trying to connect the cables to your dead battery.

I'm a professional mechanic and have a older style "portable jumper" roughly the size of a shoe box that's maybe 10 lbs. I was tired of lugging around the old reliable and was looking up and comparing newer portable charger/jump starters like this for a while. There are cheaper options available that aren't as capable and there are more expensive ones that are bigger and stronger. But this one works great for me. I have a moto Droid z it can give it about 4 full charges. The jumper is rated at 800 peak amps and says it can be used for 7.2 Lt gas or 5.5 Lt diesel engines. The other day I had a Ford with a 6.7 lt diesel. Those normally have two 750 CCA batteries and they were both completely dead. I didn't want to over stress my new jumper so I had the old shoe box connected to one battery and this new one to the other. I pressed the boost button on this and had my buddy turn over the truck and it started! I was really impressed when I noticed I had forgot to turn on the old shoe box jumper lol this thing started it by itself. I really like this thing. It's really capable, it fits in my back pocket and it's not all that heavy. Similar devices off a professional grade tool truck are 3 to 4 times as expensive and are less capable. I would definitely recommend one of these.

I had this sitting in the back seat for at least a month. It was 5 degrees outside. I was in a deli eating with my wife. Some girl asked to us my cell to call her dad. Her battery had died. I went over to my car and grabbed it out of the back seat. Her car was totally dead. She couldn’t even use her key fob to get in her car. Hooked it up and immediately tried it. I the car turned over once but didn’t start. I told her to wait a minute. I went back in side and her dad comes walking in a minute later and forced a twenty dollar bill on me. I told him he should have her try it again. Because it had been a few minutes. He said her car was already running but, he didn’t want to unhook the battery. I told him how to do it. The battery went down to about 1 light. I charged it back up and put it back in my car. The guy was amazed how such a small thing could charge a car battery that was completely drained.

I kept this in the car for about 4 months after purchasing. i used it occasionally to keep my phone charged and it gave me a good sense of security if i ever had a dead battery.Early spring i had a dead battery on my lawnmower and thought i’d try this little guy out.#1 and most importantly, it did jumpstart the lawnmower! however i think i purchased a one hit wonder. a. the pack seems defective and won’t go back to sleep. (the blue light stays on in standby mode) b. the battery seems to be losing its charge exponentially faster now. while sleeping it would loose less than 10% of its charge over 1+months. while in its defective standby mode the battery was dropping ~20% per week, but now it drops 20% over 1-2 days (not in use). c. and now for the nail in the coffin! it is giving off a plastic smell while charging.My final thoughts: i have great hopes for this technology and can foresee many scenarios in which it saves the day. i’m hoping that i got a bad apple and will be buying a similar pack next winter (likely from another manufacture).

Quality product and well packaged. Even had its own storage case. Already had to use this when coincidently, my battery was on its last legs after I received this, and it has lived up to its promise. I had immediately charged it fully after I received it and after the jump, the indicator light decreased by one bar. I used it a total of three times, recharging the battery after each use, and it worked flawlessly. I experimented with it on my computer, cell phone and tablet. I intend to follow the directions and make sure I check it every few months so its fully charged in an emergency.Great concept/design!

Bought this as a back-up for 2 cars going to Barrett-Jackson auction January 2018. Charged it following directions and fortunately did not need it. Did need it for a boat battery jump in October and it did not work. Tried to recharge it for 24 hours and it is completely dead. Not even enough juice to turn on the flashlight. I recommend you look at a different product.
