Much better than some costly name brands
I was surprised. I use them mountain biking and the cord that goes under your foot is very durable and they are much easier to put on than some name brands that use velcro. It took a bit of work figuring out the right way to put them on efficiently - but they easy to put on once you figure it out. They so far are the best option I've found and at a very reasonable price.

Desert terrain Tested
For what they are I feel they are overpriced but I needed something that would protect sand, rocks, and debris from entering my shoes so I pulled the trigger. Glad I did. They work great they don’t slip down they fit perfectly using the shoe guide and they look pretty cool too. Went hiking just the other day to try them out and found that my girlfriend is going to need a pair herself so I will be ordering another pair shortly.

They're great but the zippers come down
They need a hook and loop fastener at the top of the zipper to keep it up. When it comes down (every run in the snow), balls of snow pack in between the gater and the shoe making it worse than having no gater. Otherwise I love them.

Strong and breathable
They fit great on my walking shoes. They are pretty tear resistant and breathe well. I use them for mountain biking and when I use my chainsaw. They have been holding up good.

POOR QUALITY
These broke after less than 3 months. The place where it broke is not even a high wear and tear area. It’s off to the side. Poor quality

The foot strap breaks if you run on pavement.
The foot strap breaks if you run on pavement. I replaced it with an abrasion resistant shoelace. Of course it will wear out eventually. $5 to replace with OEM seems too much to me.

Simply Wonderful
I have put these through 40, southern Arizona, trail miles. That should be enough said, as I haven't yet found another low or mid that has lasted that long. By the looks of things, they'll make it through my upcoming Arizona Trail thru hike. These differ from others that I've seen in that they use a very durable, hard plastic instep strap as opposed to a hair scrunchy or vinyl strap that would disintegrate in one 10 mile hike for me. These are also very easy to put on without the help of one and a half friends. As far as durability goes, they're very tough too. I've seen where someone gave one star for these being cheaply made, but nothing could be further from true. In fact, I'm very impressed with the quality, especially at their price point. In addition, I contacted customer service who were beyond helpful and though my contact was just for general information, they assured me that if I ever had a problem with their products, that they would make things right.I highly recommend these to anyone who uses low or mid styles

Great design, terrible fabric. Especially for $50.
Zip on and rubber heel straps are great features. Material was full of tears and holes after just a few hikes. $50 is a lot if they're trashed in a week.
