Great Turtle Dock!
Great docking station. My turtles l♥ve it! I got the larger size and its the perfect size for the 75 gal tank. The only issue I have with it is the 2 suction cups that come with it are not enough to hold the weight of my big fat turtles. The platform slides loose waaay too easily. However ~ I've found the perfect solution: these hany dandy DANXQ Full Transparent Strong Screw Nut Pull Suction Cup Hand Tighten Adjustment Sucker with Press Cap Nut, 6 Piece/Pack (4.5CM-Clear) are the perfect remedy! No more slipping! Happy camper and happy turtles! :->

It's great but the grip tape is not...
I bought this back in June as a replacement to the other ramp I had which was the same size but from a different company. I have had it for not even 5 months and the grip tape has started to come off, the whole reason I got it was because the other ramp's tape pealed off. I don't know if the tape is replaceable or not but it is frustrating considering the price. I should say this ramp was about $20 more expensive than the previous ramp I had purchased, I do think it's a great ramp but the grip tape needs to last longer than just 5 months for the amount of money paid, or at least have replacement tape available so it can be fixed.

So far so good
My large turtles beat down most suction cupped ramps, rendering them useless. For now, the suction cups seem to be holding. If working fine, I'll buy anther set in 3 weeks.

My turtle loves his new platform UPDATE: ONLY LASTED A MONTH OR TWO
UPDATE: Platform work well for about a month but after about 6 weeks Spot was having difficulty climbing up the ramp because the tape wore out super fast and he could no longer get traction. After about two months the adjustable suction cups that worked so well at first would no longer attach to the wall of the tank. Platform is now unusable. Cannot be repaired. Replacing with a different style.

Does not stay in place, issues with grip tape
The suction cups hold tight to the glass sides of my tank, but they slide down under the weight of my turtle when it climbs on. Unlike an earlier version I had with suction cups below the waterline, where the suction cups become hard and worthless, these stay pretty dry. They don't detach from the glass, but they can't hold the ramp in place. I use a piece of 14 ga. solid copper wire that loops under the ramp and up over the sides of the tank to keep it from slipping.A very serious problem is the grip tape used is not waterproof. It lifts off and the grit sheds after being submerged for several months. My turtle eats the tape and grit when it lifts off, causing sever distress until the remnants pass through her digestive system. I recommend removing the provided tape, cleaning all remaining adhesive off with denatured alcohol (don't try rubbing alcohol or other solvents which may damage the plastic), and replacing it with 3M Safety-Walk 2 inch grey tape for wet environments. That has held up for me with no sign of lifting or shedding its abrasive.

Love this!
My turtle is extra happy now that he can get closer to the lamp!

Suction cups have failed after 6 months
My turtle likes this ramp. However, after just 6 months the suction cups have failed. I was hoping that since they were screwed on they would be better quality.

Great dock, besides the grip tape…
The basking dock is nice and sturdy, giving plenty of room for my 6” River Cooter turtle. I got the larger size and it really is LARGE so I’d make sure your tank is big enough to house it before buying. My issue with it is the black grip tape / sandpaper. The grit on it comes off in abundance as the turtle climbs up the ramp, leaving small black dots all over the floor of the tank. It’s not a big issue and I am easily able to remove them with my gravel vacuum each time I clean it. Enough of the grit stays on to give grip to the turtle though, just a lot of excess falling off all the time.
