Our Dog Loved It!
My grandson wanted to celebrate our dog's twelve birthday. I purchased the Barley's Bake cake mix and our pet loved it! I appreciated that it comes in two flavors. I went with the peanut butter flavor. It was easy to mix and bake. Frosting is yogurt. Very happy with purchase and so was the birthday boy!

Cute idea and easy mix to prepare but my dogs weren't fans.
I thought this was a super cute idea to have a way to make easy cupcakes at home that were approved for dogs so I grabbed one to test on my two small lap dogs. The mix comes with both the dry mix for the cupcakes and the mix for the icing, which is more like a thing glaze if you use all the water it calls for. The box has very simple to follow instructions on the box so my 13-year-old son is the one that whipped these up and baked them for the dogs last night. We choose to go with mini cupcakes just because we like to give small treats instead of larger ones and thought they would enjoy having a couple a day. The cakes smelled almost like a peanut butter mix and the glaze/icing is a vanilla yogurt mix. As cute as these turned out I am sad to say that neither one of our dogs will even though them or try them. They both just walk up to them sniff a bit then turn away and leave. So I'm sad because this mix is such a fun thing to be able to do for them, but alas it wasn't for them. To be fair my two dogs are very picky, if the treats are not chewy and meat flavored they typically will not eat them, so I can't fault the cake mix too much based on that. So I'll go with a 4-star because it was so easy to prepare for them, just not tasty enough for them to eat.

Cute, kinda smelly, pups love it
Good quality doggy cupcakes. These are a super cute idea and the dogs like them. They don’t stay fresh very long and will make your house smell like dog food.
