Absolute gem of a watch, which looks great and keep the time perfectly.
An absolute gem of a watch made by Ingersoll; looks great and keep the time perfectly.I think its looks have been added to by it having a blue face and not having a dark blue strap; which although they should be good, I have found can make the watch look a bit too dark.

Automatic using your arm movements. Extremely chunky. Very handsome.
This watch is quite self explanatory but for the instruction manual, use the GR code which takes you to the lifetime warranty page and then click the watch identification code which is l13001 on the pop down menu and the instructions are very helpful. This is an automatic or self-winding watch which is a mechanical watch in which the mainspring is wound automatically as a result of the natural motion of the wearer's arm, making regular manual winding unnecessary. When you receive the watch for the first time it may not be running. This is because the watch has no power to operate. The watch must be given an initial manual wind with 15 to 20 turns of the crown and then while the watch is worn it will wind itself and maintain the correct time. When setting the time please ensure the hands only move in a clockwise direction to avoid damage. The accuracy tolerance of our automatic movements is -40 to +40 seconds per day, worn under normal conditions. In order to maintain power the watch may be taken off the wrist for a maximum period of 30 hours. It must be remembered that if the watch is worn while sleeping the movement of the wrist may be insufficient to maintain the automatic winding function but my son must move about a lot in his sleep as it hasn’t lost time yet.The calendar date is easy to set with the button on the side using a pen nib. The calendar is hard to read though and to see to set as it’s so small. To achieve an accurate date setting, using a pointed device press the button until a date prior to the date required is achieved, i.e if today is 16th then set it onto 15th…Now pull the crown out and rotate anti-clockwise until the date is correctly set, continue to rotate further to set the hands to correct time, making sure it is correctly set to AM & PM.All Ingersoll models have a water resistant construction but it wasn’t clear which resistance this model had but there is a chart that clearly tells you if you can figure it out but all models are accidental splash resistant. This is an extremely weighty and chunky watch as is the strap so double check the measurements. The thick strap makes it a little tricky to take off and it will be interesting to see if the leather becomes more pliable in time… It’s a handsome watch and very classy looking. I loved the blue and tan combination. Although there are no numbers on the dial the big chunky hour markers make it easy to read. The packaging definitely gives the watch a pre Wow! factor so would make a lovely postal gift so I’m very happy to recommend and I hope my photos helped ☺️

A really nice great looking watch
This arrived in a matt black presentation box with the Ingersoll logo embossed on the top. The box slides open on a draw system, with a material tab to pull it open. Once open the watch is contained within a leather pouch again embossed with the logo. Under the watch you have a card with a QR code for instructions, authenticity and warranty.First impressions: the presentation is very nice with good attention to detail and quality. The watch case/pouch for storage is leather and a unique design with the watch held in the middle with two elastic straps. In my opinion the main face of the watch is a really nice design and looks great with the date indicator on the left, power on the right and an open section in the bottom middle showing the movement. The bottom of the watch has a glass panel also showing the movement which looks great. The strap is leather and really solid being around 5mm thickness with really robust fixings. I normally go for a metal strap mainly because I worry about a leather one breaking but with this I have no such concerns.I used the QR code which takes you through to registration and a drop down so you can select the model and instructions. The instructions are very straight forward with a small reset push button to set the date and setting the time with the winder. The watch is water resistant although I am reluctant to wear it in the shower more due to not wanting to get the leather strap wet although it should be fine.I have been wearing the watch since it arrived, only taking it off for showering and although by design it is a large men’s watch I find it really comfortable and it looks great. I set the date and time when it arrived against my computer time and although it does state a tolerance of plus or minus 40 seconds per day mine has kept perfect time.Overall in my opinion this is a great looking really solid man’s watch, it is thick and bulky with a large face and solid leather strap, and not a delicate slim line dress watch. I like the design and simplicity, the watch keeps perfect time with an easy to read dial and is self winding. I can’t really fault it so have given top marks.
