Wow! This worked great. A friend of mine said it wouldn’t work, but I had a rusted leaking receiver drier on my old R-22 system, I cut it out and replaced with a new one and used this to reconnect it and no leaks, system has been performing great for 6 months now. Even more impressive is that this is close to the condenser and gets a lot of vibration and it’s holding up great

Copper lock delivers with some minor deviation from the instructions Finding this product was heaven sent. I had some work to do in an area where I could not braise. It did take a little time to get it to work correctly without leaking, but I used it on a high pressure gas system with unbelievable success once I got a strategy down. Surprisingly this is an epoxy type product that you can use in place of braising or soldering. In that regard it is pretty strong once cured. The main focus when using this product is that the joint connections must be very clean. Sand down the copper and then clean each joint of with alcohol, the better the clean the better the results. In addition, use a cotton swab to liberly apply to bother the pipe and the connector being mindful to have a good coverage. Lastly, when mating the pieces, be sure to hold the pipe and connecter together for a min until the bond is solid. The instructions say instant, but doing it this way ensures a.leak-free bond. I had a lot of trails with this product but it is an awesome product with a good technique. I would suggest that they rewrite the instructions, but Copper Lock is a winner in my book with the proper technique.
