Llambrich - JK-130 5/8 JK Solid High Torque/High Precision Keyless Drill Chuck with integrated Solid 5/8" Straight Shank, 1-7/8" Chuck Diameter, 1/32" - 1/2" Capacity

So I thought I had written a review on how Fantastic this drill chuck is, but I guess not. So here it is.So after getting my nova DVR drill press I knew before even getting it that a keyless chuck was my first purchase.I have done a lot of research and found at this drill chuck is probably one of the best you can buy.There weren’t many reviews at all before I got this but all the ones I had seen were very positive, so made the purchase!The Run out is almost nonexistent and this thing looks like a work of art. Some people might be put off buy the high price. If you’re buying an almost $2000 drill press and the included Drill chuck is a $20 item, your drill is gonna act like a $20 machine.I would say that a quality Chuck is the first item in getting precise holes and this has the potential of making any drill press better.I have posted a video on my YouTube, “MSR Workshop”, showing the runout.If your looking for precision, this is where it’s at !I would buy this thing in a heart beat, even if it was more expensive !

I have been using the chuck since the second week of May, 2018. The runout and accuracy of the chuck are better than the manufacturer's specifications. The chuck is used in a Nova drill press that replaced my 20 year old Delta drill press that I had retrofitted with a Jacobs chuck. While Albrecht chucks have the name and German provenance, the Spanish machine tool industry builds equipment that is every bit as high quality and accurate. As examples, Kondia and Lagun are just two of the Spanish machine tool manufacturers building quality machine tools. The Llambrich chuck fits into the same category of extremely well built, quality equipment. I would recommend the chuck over a Jacobs chuck and the Llambrich is as accurate as the Albrecht for less money. If you're buying a name, then by all means get an Albrecht. If you simply want a superb drill chuck at a reasonable cost - get the Llambrich.

Even though this is a pricey tool, it's very accurate and turn true. On my Nova dvr drill press I seemed to have issues with hole quality (size and centered) due to the chuck. after checking with a dial indicator I determined it was the factory chuck. I bought a new one (about $50) and it was no improvement. After buying and using this chuck all my issues are gone. It even included a wrench to assist in breaking the drill free if it get jammed after drilling tough material. worth the $$$$$.

Cleaned the oil off and put it on the granite surface plate with a precision dowel pin in it. Run out is less that one thou. That is brand new of course, but if it goes bad I will revisit this review. It is so smooth it feels hydraulic when I tighten it down and the taper locks in perfectly. It comes with a wrench I like to call a just in case wrench. If I ever do get a bit stuck the wrench should get me out of trouble. The wrench is very well made too. This is a very high quality chuck.

Love everything about this chick. Comes with wrench to tighten suspect bits. Run out was about .003Edit 8/16/2020 - I’ve been using this chuck for awhile now and I’ve been unhappy with the runout so I took it off and re-cleaned the taper and the receiving end with acetone and then reinstalled it in my drill press. Boy what improvement. The runout is only .0015 now! I should have been more careful the first time. My apologies to the manufacturer for my original review. They really deserve credit for a superior product.

This chuck worthy every penny, Its accuracy make it the best I have seen special when you buy many chucks like me to get your Altima one, its not cheep quality China made chuck it's made in Spain and that's should make you go for it.

Was a bit hesitant with the price point, but very happy with the product. Keyless is a game changer and worth it for my needs. Precision, build quality, and finish excellent. Almost too nice for my JDP-20MF.
