NOT SAFE It is not a Quick Release/potentially unsafe and could get you stuck.
The design is different from my other surfing leashes where the velcro simply wraps around itself and pulls off without looking. This design the strap doubles back through a buckle and will not release without sliding your appendage out at the pull tab does not come out of a buckle. You could get stuck on a coral reef / rock like this, other water hazard, or in my use case for attaching a snow surfer in the trees. May cut off the pull tab but then not sure how it could be opened with gloves / neoprene gloves or fumbling underwater.Other than potential drowning being stuck to your leash, the design seems really nice making me want to fix the problem or modify the product to be safer. May need to return honestly/unfortunately

Comfortable and effective
We purchased two of these to install on two bodyboard/boogie boards before a beach trip this summer. While there were not really any reviews on this leash, we liked the structure of rhe velcro band with the padding and liked that the leash was thicker and coiled. We chose this leash because we had a tight timeline and needed the leashes the next day. This was the only product that could meet the timeline. The leashes did not disappoint! We watched videos by surfers on installation of leashes (it's easy) and found out before we poked any holes exactly where the stringers were (from the bodyboard manufacturer). Also, the leash has a really cool tab that keeps it from pulling through when not wearing it and makes it easy to grab to undo the velcro. The leash easily fit all family member wrists with extra space (teenage boys and adult male and female). We did not try this on forearms, as we wear on wrists, but with the extra space I imagine it could work, depending on arm size.

Not for biceps, only wrists
While some are claiming this bodyboard leash is sized for biceps, that is absolutely wrong, it's sized for your wrist. It actually will fit some biceps, but the neoprene padding will not encircle the entire arm, which means that under stress the padless strap will cut into either your bicep or wetsuit, depending if you're wearing a wetsuit or not. Neither is a good scenario really. It is however a good wrist leash, but I prefer bicep leashes for better paddling. Not recommended for biceps.

NOT for bodyboard or wrist! Ankle only.
This is not meant for your wrist, it will only go on your ankle. It's advertised for a bodyboard/boogieboard which is traditionally attached to your wrist, and not your ankle. I am a grown man and on the smallest setting it slides right off my wrist. The advertised pictures show it attached to wrists and even on small children's wrists, but that is false advertisement. Including my photo with the huge gap as evidence.I assume it would work well as an ankle leash for a surfboard though, but I never tested its quality or usability that way.

great product!
Worked like a charm in head-high shorebreak surf in OCMD attached to a Morey 43" bodyboard.
