Very enjoyable book...
This book was particularly delightful to read, the only part I don't like about this book is the fact it ends in a sort of cliffhanger which is a bit annoying. Nonetheless, it was still nice to read. Personally, I think Revan is actually a cool Star Wars character (probably one of my favourite ones). The thing that actually inspired me to read this book was when I saw a YouTube video stating the top 10 best siths (decided by poll) and number 1 was Revan, and I realised I hadn't really read/watched/seen anything about him so I bought this book and read it. I always felt that too many stories ended happily, but when I finished reading this book, I was honestly really disappointed that he didn't defeat the emperor and had to be confined to a cell. I also didn't like 'Lord' Scrouge's betrayal of Revan when at the end he had a vision that the 'champion' of Jedi's would vanquish the emperor so he killed Meetre and slashed at Revan. This book had its humorous parts to, when Canderous/Mandalore the preserver called him Avner when the went undercover to find Mandalore's mask. Isn't Avner just an anagram of Revan?By Andrew age 10.

A good book
As per usual with Karpyshyn, this is a well written book and engaging. Having played through the main kotor game, it was nice to see Revan again as he is one of the best characters in Star Wars and one of the most unique. However, this book felt more like a story centered around the sith than Revan himself, this can be a pretty annoying problem as you spend more time with this wannabe sith than the main character himself. Now, this is not to say that the parts with Revan aren’t great, they are for the most part exceptional, it just feels like they are few and far between. For half this book he’s technically captured and sitting on his butt doing nothing. It was interesting to see Canderous and Bastila again, clearly they’ve grown, learning a bit about the Mandos backstory.I didn’t see that betrayal coming at the end, which felt a bit random. I understand that Scourge was a sith and to never trust them but it came out of nowhere. I feel also that Revan was significantly underpowered and I can understand the controversy surrounding the book to an extent. However, to say this book is mediocre just isn’t true. It is an exceptional book marred by certain aspects that don’t work and really only for a simple tie in for a game. I definitely recommend giving this a try.

A must read if you enjoyed the KotoR games
A great read if you enjoy the games. It features great characters with different motives and personalities that work really well within the book. Lots of action and the story is really well written and intertwines for a brilliant mid section of the book and the end.If you’re interested in the events between the first and second game, and then what happens after the second game, with plenty of action, this book is for you.

Revan, Exile and Unfound Scourging.
Let's get ONE thing out of the way if you please: Revan purists, grow up.Seriously... I am a HUGE fan of the KOTOR series but honestly, I think also of the OTHER people, you know, the ones who never played KOTOR and yet are also into the idea of The Old Republic and until the game is released, are interested in exploring the backstory of the game. This book is one HELL of an entry point for that... Not only does the novel explore the Emperor's background but also gives new players the possibility to know who the Jedi Exile and Revan are and what makes them tick. I'm going to rant and assume that most of the people who complain about this novel NEVER, EVER wrote a single thing in their life and if they did, they never released commercially; If they did, they'd knew sacrifices are necessary in order to make an idea manageable, from a market perspective. Also, comparing THIS to the Darth Bane novels makes no SENSE whatsoever, since Bane NEVER had the kind of following or backstory built around them that Revan and the Exile did.- - - -Anyway, as I mentioned previously, I'm a huge fan of the KOTOR games and I until I finished the novel, I just couldn't stop reading it. It's not entirely what I expected when it comes to character development, but is nevertheless an awesome read with great dialogue, especially between two of the characters. One of them, Scourge, even though with a slow start at first, is revealed to be one hell of a badass later on, both for his ambiguity and resourcefulness. I won't get into spoilers but after reading this, I'm even more excited about the release of TOR and the role the events of this novel will play in it.In the end, I'd recommend it to EVERYONE, namely new fans of the The Old Republic period as well as KOTOR fans. Dismiss the early criticism concerning how the Exile and Revan are handled, since in case some people don't know, a novel is not the same as an RPG where you can choose the path of the protagonist. Kindly grow up.

Great book for KOTOR fans!
Picked this up finally as I was tired of hearing how Revan’s story was completely destroyed in TOR, and it did not disappoint! Takes place about 2 years after KOTOR and follows Revan as his memories start to resurface and unravels the mystery of why The Mandalorian War started. Included in the book is not only Revan and Bastila living their lives as a married couple in the Jedi order, but includes T3 and Canderous aswell. Also if you’re a player of TOR you get some of Scourge’s background that really fleshes out his character and his motivations.Drew’s SW books are always a banger, but you could tell he probably played the game enough to get into character to write Revan. He’s a smart, cunning and powerful Jedi but also just enough of a rebel like some of the options in the game provided when they’d give you a smart ass response. It’s truly believable that the Revan in this book is the Revan you played in the game, regardless of player style (unless you went full dark side). The ending is open ended as it leads into TOR game and Revan’s campaign, but there isn’t one dull moment. If you’re a SW fan, especially someone who enjoyed KOTOR and TOR timeline, pick this up immediately! Long live Revan.

May The Force Be With You!
