Background: First time really taking gym seriously at 40 years old, so results may vary. On to the review.Used for: Hip ThrustsMy gym does provide cushioning for their bars but they are thin. More like the foam pad you had covering your front handle bars of your first bike-thin. Ok for smith machine squats and only for a few weak reps, but not good as you progress and start adding some real weight on the bar(200+ lbs).I was experiencing pain due to the weight. Not really something you want on a delicate region of the body where the bar rests(over the hips, right above the nether regions). Also not something you want if you ever wish to experience pain free intimacy.I chose the bar since it seemed thicker and cheaper and fit in my backpack. Once it arrived, it met all the criteria. I experienced zero pain as the extra padding helped spread the weight better, I was able to push more weight than what I was doing before since I didn't have to brace for the pain. I also felt a better burn since I was actually doing the exercise the correct way versus kind of adapting it a bit to avoid pain. It also fit easily in my backpack which I had hoped for. It does use two cheap velcro strips to keep the bar wrapped over the bar but you should expect to replace them. Not a big issue and not enough of an issue to take a star.Also, it was cheap! Hah! 2 years of use!
So I got this 2 years ago. I always get looks from people seeing me pulling it out of my bag but I do not care. Results speak for themselves 🤷🏻♀️ I refuse to use a sweaty pad from the gym when I could have this one for this price. Anyway! I use it for hip thrusts. This should not be used on the squat rack with the barbell, if you need a pad for squats, squat with the smith machine for your own safety.Durability: looks new and I use it once a week or moreComfort: super dense for how compact it is. I went up to 150 lbs this week on hip thrusts and no issue at all. It is plenty of padding for me to keep going up.Value: WOW amazing price. I recommend it to all the girls who are serious about training.Practicality: a little big BUT it fits perfectly in my medium gym bag. Definitely measure yours if you are wanting to have it in there. A few girls that just carry theirs but I like to have everything in one package since I go to the gym straight from work 💁🏻♀️If you think this was helpful let me know 💕

Squat pad that lasts
I used to use the gym's squat pads for hip thrusts but started to have trouble finding them because I think people would steal them or place them all over the gym. I love this squat pad for hip thrusts & will buy again once needed. It easily fits in my gym back and is durable.

Its pretty good
Its pretty good for the price, you just need two extra strings to tie each end for a complete seal. It dosent slip. Pretty good for the price

Strap broke but customer service is great
I got this pad for my body pump class, for the lunges and squats. The pad is comfortable and spongy but not too soft. The only issue I had was with the strap that holds the pad in place. You definitely need it But on the very first time I used it, the strap broke!Customer service was excellent. I sent an email and within an hour they took action to solve this problem. My advice to people is not to use the strap to draw the edges of the pad together. Bring the edges close together and then use the strap to keep them in place. I do not think the strap is strong enough to pull in the two edges by itself

Perfect for hip thrusts
I bought this specifically for hip thrusts and this does exactly what I need it to. I can load much more significant weight on my hips each week and have zero bruising. Don't really need the straps for the hip thrusts but two are included with your purchase.I have had this for about 2 months, use once a week for hip thrusts only, and it is in great almost new condition still. I think for my frequency of use and care for my equipment, this will last me a long time.

Works great
This pad really improves the whole squatting experience. This makes it much more comfortable to shoulder the barbell when doing squats. Also feels more secure, like the barbell isn't going to slip or slide. I deducted one star because the second time I used it, I had it aligned so the slit was toward the bottom, and so the barbell slipped through the slit and rested on my shoulder. I fixed this by putting a velcro strip around the pad at each end to keep it from separating in case it was aligned with the slit on the bottom again. So far this fix has been OK however I have the pad aligned. Only think it should come with some kind of straps to hold it together like this.

This product was exactly what I was looking for! It arrived in perfect condition and it’s really soft, making it great for hip thrusts. It comes with straps to ensure its placement on the bar and that it doesn’t fall off. Also, the one I received did not have “Clout Fitness” printed on it, it’s 100% plain and all black. I don’t really care but just a heads up because some people mentioned theirs had text on it.I love it!Note: I don’t use this for squats because I don’t need it but also, it is a bit thick if you are looking for something like that. For hip thrusts, it’s 100% perfect!
