If you're from a small town, you'll appreciate it more. Good movie, slow in spots but keeps you engaged. Nielsen is funny while narrating, otherwise he plays a sarcastic old guy that isn't about to take advice from his newbie. Fun movie, wish they had made a second one where he retires from a PI and runs a bait shop.

Comedy movie

For the Leslie Nielsen The Comedian lover! He doesn't even need to say anything, just a look will crack you up. He had been a serious actor for so long, that people never realized how hilariously funny he could be. These movies are perfect for those times when you might be feeling a little down and need a good belly laugh. Rest in peace, Les, and thank you for so much humor!

Like most of Leslie Nielson's movies this was a comedy spoof type of movie, but unlike most of his movies he does not play as an idiot in this movie. Basically a story about a washed up private detective and an out of work actor who team up to solve a major mystery in an unassuming little town. Of course mayhem ensues and laughs abound.

I guess it was supposed to be funny but had only one chuckle in the whole thing. The photo on the DVD box has absolutely nothing to do with the movie and is very deceptive. I thought it would be a goofy Leslie Nielsen spoof with all kinds of zany spying using camouflage. But that's not what the movie is. It's about an aging P.I. (Nielsen) reluctantly helping a young man become a newbie P.I. instead of a no-talent play-write and actor. If you have 90 minutes to kill and don't care what you watch, this is the movie for you.

Is it a comedy? Is it a detective movie? Does it matter? There are a few early moments when the movie seems to be a typical Airplane/Naked Gun rip-off, but then there are long stretches without even attempts at comedy.The movie depends mostly on strange characters for 'humor'.I love any of the Zucker, Zucker, and Abrahams movies (Naked Guns, Airplanes) and also some of the Leslie Nielson spin-offs such as Wrongfully Accused and Spy Hard. But not Camouflage - it just isn't funny. As a detective movie, it isn't interresting. I'm not sure who would tolerate this movie except some of the reviewers that mislead me.While I'm at it, also avoid A Space Travesty and Dracula, Dead and Loving It.

Wer Leslie Nielsen mag, mag wahrscheinlich auch diesen Film. Ich fand' ihn ganz nett, bin aber weitaus bessere Filme von bzw. mit ihm gewohnt.Zur Handlung: Ein abgehalfteter und kurz vor dem Ruhestand stehender Privatdetektiv (Leslie Nielson) trifft auf einen gescheiterten "Youngstar" - Schauspieler, Regisseuer, Produzent - der völlig pleite ist und dringend eine Unterkunft braucht. Erst allein, dann gemeinsam lösen sie einen echten Kriminalfall, der anfangs nur ein "fake" sein sollte. Allerlei merkwürdige Verwicklungen tauchen auf - am Ende wird's tatsächlich nochmal spannend. "Gewürzt" ist der ganze Film mit bissigem, zynischen und teils sarkastischem Humor, der einem dann und wann ein Schmunzeln entlockt.Resumé: Alles in allem ein nettes Filmchen für zwischendurch, aber leider nicht der absolute "burner" - da sind wir eigentlich besseres von Leslie Nielsen gewohnt ("Die nackte Kanone" etc.). Der "zotige" Humor rettet den Film aber dennoch. Alles in allem erinnert er aber doch stark an eine etwas billige TV-Produktion und streift hart die Grenze zu einem "B-Movie".

WEr ihn mag, dem gefällt auch dieser Film. ;-)

I find this movie not as funny as the other Leslie Neilson movies. I rated this movie 2 out of 5 stars.

bin von Leslie Nielsen besseres gewöhnt. Schade, aber dieser Film ist total langweilig und es gibt leider nichts zu lachen. Totaler Fehlkauf.
