Concept is great. You leave it plugged in, so charging it is never an issue. The charging port is fully functional. The night light is also fully functional. The video quality is pretty good too. The lens is hard to see so this works great in that aspect. Even the fact that it comes with 30 GBs of onboard storage is also amazing. Unfortunately there are a few downfalls...First, transfer rate of this thing is so slow you can't preview the video directly from the device. I have to transfer the video from the device to my computer before I can effectively watch the videos.Second, the video and sound sync are way off, on all 3 unites I received. The video plays at about 1.5x speed. So while trying to watch the video, it will play the video fast, almost as if I'm fast forwarding it. But the sound itself will play at normal speed. For example, on a 3 minute video, the video itself will stop playing at around the 2 minute marker while the sound keeps playing the entire time. THIS IS NOT MY MACHINES CAUSING THIS. I have tried playing the videos on 3 different machines, all of them very good machines that I do video editing on. This is the device itself.Third, the motion detection does not work well with all 3 units.

 This item is cool for a few different reasons. For one, as a USB charger. . . it works great. Secondly as a nightlight, it is really cool and again works great. Lastly as a hidden camera it is awesome. Because it plugs in, you would just never think it is a hidden camera. No charge cords and charging. . . all of that is taken care of since it is plugged in. You have a setting you can control in the .txt file where you can change the item from a continuous recording. . . to a motion sensor recording. The 1080p camera quality is great, it is really clear, and the fact that it includes a 32GB memory card is really awesome. No extra cost, just get it. . . plug it in and it will start recording (unless the motion setting is in). The only limitations is that you can only place it where there is an electrical outlet (this did not bother me at all, I loved the fact that it can just stay plugged in). The only thing that would have made it better would have been if it were wifi, and could be monitored from a cell phone. . . now that would have been awesome! But as it is, it is still a 5 star item. If you suspect someone of cheating, or stealing and are looking to catch them in the act then this is the item you want.

I was able to connect to the camera's WiFi but I couldnt add the device (camera) to the camera list in the app. I tired "Add new online Camera" and my camera did not appear after 3 minutes. I refreshed the page and nada. I tried "Add new camera manually" and enter carefully (upper case and dashes) the UID and it stated it was an invalid UID. I entered the default password of 8888 and nada.I tried resetting the camera by hold the reset button until (5 seconds) the indication light shuts off.I let it come back up and it was blinking blue and red. But I was not able to add the device.

I finally got around to using this and it worked perfectly. lt worked just like they said, plug it in and it records, a nice clear picture too. My Macbook had no problem detecting it and easily playing the videos with Quick Time. Changing the date/time and motion detector is just as simple. l've only used it once, and it may crap out tomorrow, but it worked right out of the box and was easy enough to play videos and change settings.BTW, the Chinese seemed to have Chuck Berry in mind when they printed the user manual...

For some reason this has not worked at all for me it only records the moment I'm going to remove it off the plug and that's it nothing else idk if its faulty or is there something im not doing right but it doesn't come with much instructions and isn't worth it for me.

I love this camera BUT the description either is false or I got a dud because mine does NOT have a slot anywhere inside or out for a SD card and it does NOT have motion detection, it just starts recording as soon as I plug it in.

Most discreet camera ever. There is no way to access the flash memory without taking it apart. The data port for video requires a special cable, which was not present with the camera. I am giving it four stars for that purpose.

Nothing not to like.loop recording. deletes old files.
