Might have just had a weak spot in the metal but on the first hit into a rock the end chipped off. Feels nice in my hand otherwise but the hammer head I wish was larger as it is a very small surface area when trying to hit the even smaller chisels. Very easy to miss with any decent momentum.

Great heft on the hammer. Chistles are solid, and larger than expected, but that isnt an issue. The Bag is what shocked me a bit, it is much better quality than I expected, very thick sturdy canvas, I can see this bag lasting for many years to come. All in all, Great kit for the price. But as others have said, the gloves are clearly ment for either a child or a woman with very small hands. I am a guy with fairly small hands and they are even to small for me. Lucky for me I did not buy the kit for the gloves. Jewelers Loupe is nice and seems very well made with its own nice lil case.All in all if you are a new rockhound or even a vet rock hound looking for a new kit, I would highly reccommend this for the price point its at.
