Good value, good quality...could be a little warmer and wider...still worth it though
Initial take…The Ronin sleeping pad for $39 is a good value. I have typically bought/kept Exped and Thermarest pads. (Still have my original Ridgerest from 1989…works great.) But I wanted something affordable and smaller carry size. This seems to fit the bill. Not only does it pack down to the size of a 16oz water bottle but it is under $50. The R value is very important to me and that is one thing I hope they can figure out how to improve on these type of pads. I can spend more on a Klymit V insulated but not sure I am going to get the value I want…maybe I will try that out little later. This pad inflates quickly and doesn’t require a pump sack/bag to keep moisture from impacting insulation since it has none. I like the all in one dual valves. I have other pads that have two separate valves and I would think that only adds weight and complexity. I am a large guy and a side sleeper (6’1” and over 250lbs) and I believe this pad will keep me warm. I like the quilt type sleeping bags and so the sleeping pad needs to keep me off the ground. The length of the pad is good but the width is smaller than realized. My fault for not figuring that out before but I think these longer pads need to be a little wider…lot of big guys in America these days. Overall this is a good pad but will know more when I take it into the field. Pending update to this review.

Seems to work well
I just completed a 6-day backpacking trip in a rugged range in New Mexico, and the pad worked well. I am giving the pad 4 stars instead of 5 because it leaked a little air from the time I inflated it every evening until the time I woke the following morning, although the pad never became uncomfortable sleeping on my side or back. I am 6' and weigh 170 pounds, so I don't think my weight is an issue. I plan on throwing it into the tub to isolate the leak, so watch for my follow-up post.

Quality product-will it last?
Seems to be an excellent product-description accurate; easy to inflate (30 seconds) with one-way valve, just as easy to deflate and pack. Fully inflated, it supported me completely off of my tile floor , without "bottoming out." Now, for the true test-will it hold air through an entire night of tent sleeping, and will it be durable? No product paperwork, or care and usage instructions.

Easy to set up, lightweight but thin
It was easy to set up and if I had to carry it hiking, very light weight. Once inflated, it’s very thin. We had to put my exercise mats underneath it for cushion. It also looks very short so make sure to check length. We used it for my grand children who were coming for Christmas and I only have one guest room. They are 2 and 4 and loved them!

It was ok as far as sleeping pads go, but I slipped off in the middle of the night and ended up on the floor. It is slippery and very narrow. If you are a larger person you will probably slide right off. Also, it was difficult to open the plug to remove the air. I was afraid I was going to rip it and break it off.

Air valve kept popping out when fully aired up. Pad sprung a hole on the second night of backpacking trek and didn't have time to find the leak. Third night was spent on the ground. Will see if it can be patched when I unpack tomorrow....

Great pad for great price.
Most awesome and affordable pad for camping and it would save your back from a backache. It's not too wide but enough for your back to rest on. I'm skinny so it just hurt to sleep on the floor. Take your time to blow it up cause it only takes 7-8 full breath, I was trying to blow it up fast so I almost passed out LOL. When you deflate, make sure all air goes out completely, kinda hard to do but just stomp on it.
