My adult daughter helped assemble this. I’d say it is a two person job just due to the size of the pieces. Requires a rubber mallet (or hammer with block of wood), a screw gun (required), and average homeowner skills to assemble. Instructions are written exceptionally clear.Once assembled it is very attractive and sturdy. Be sure you have the room for it, as it is on the large size.Company is excellent to deal with too. I asked for a small customization piece and they delivered very quickly and reasonably priced.Highly recommend.

I love this rack and was impressed with the quality of the hardware and preparation for assembly (pre-drilled holes). A few tips for assembly...(1) this rack requires 2 people to assemble due to its size and weight (2) pay close attention to the labels on the parts. I did not realize that the lower arms had countersunk holes for screws that the other 2 sets of arms did not have. It is not possible to disassemble and start over due to the glue and tight fit. We had to make new holes in the lower arms to complete the assembly.

Solid, high quality cedar pieces, and quality fasteners. Assembly straightforward (at this weight helpful but not necessary to have an assistant to hold for final assembly steps). Watch where the predrilled 4" GRK screwholes go through - I had two end up in tenon joint holes, if that happens no problem to unscrew then rescrew into the joint after fitting the poles together (otherwise you'll end up not able to butt the tenon all the way in). Also helpful to screw in the final GRKs to the feet *after* you do final assembly so you can check to see that standing upright the feet level out and adjust as necessary before screwing them down. All in all a very solid build.

Great kayak and paddle board rack. Not hard to put together. All holes predrilled and all hardware supplied. Robust and sturdy. And the best part, if you dont like where it is placed you can move it to a new location. No posts in the ground to mess with.

Real wood, well made and easy to assemble. Looks right at home at the edge of my lakeside cottage. Perfect for my large canoe and kayak, with room for maybe a paddleboard next summer!

This rack is solidly built, was relatively easy to assemble, and looks great on the shoreline. It blends into the north woods landscape so much better than the metal ones.
