WOW - Game changer ! Extremely impressed
Background: (60yr old Male in Ok shape)I’ve had my eMTB Trek Powerfly 4 about 1yr and happy with the bike and overall quality but for the weight 52lbs. I ride a mix of road, trails, gravel and fire roads. I decided to get into e-bikes after suffering a major heart attack a few months prior and wanted to continue riding and keeping up with others. When riding road or bike lanes I have a hard time keeping up with my GF canondale e-gravel synapse LE as it has gearing for the road.Changing my chainring added a bit more mph but still at 20mph the bike became heavy at the cutoff …that’s when I started researching a hack. Most of the 2023 TREK and Specialized changed their road bikes to 28mph for a good reason but not ready to invest in a carbon road ebike yet.Now the SPEEDBOX 3.0 comes to the rescue.Installation on my bike was super easy. Unscrew the bottom cover 4 screws and no need to remove cranks, unplug 2 wires and plug the SPEEDBOX in-line, couple zip ties to secure it and close the patient.. voila !Note: some bikes or different motors will require removing the left crank to remove the cover and access to the plugs. The speed limiter is engaged by pressing the walk button (so it’s a toggle) and the walk functionality remains available as well.My first ride with the chip was immediately obvious that this was the missing link. The bike felt lighter and the smile on my face a clear indicator from 😤to 😀.I had previously changed my chainring from 36T to 38T and longer cranks but reaching my physical limits anyways. You probably wondering why a chip is needed for an eMTB, and as I explained earlier is to keep up with other riders on road as the true weight of the bike becomes obvious at the 20mph cutoff…. But I am only trying to keep a cruising of 24-26mph… not going for a speed record. It’s only my 1st week riding with the chip, and will update this review if anything changes.Final word… A definite game changer and highly recommend .

Easy to install, get addition to your E-bike!
I have an Bosch Active line plus motor. You only need to remove the black cover on the bottom of the motor to install the speedbox. Not need to remove the crank. It was a really simple install about 10 minutes. The set up was super easy. After my first 25 mile ride the main difference is the removal of the assist curve in the Bosch software. I really liked not having the assist decline after 18 MPH. I still have to get used to being able to ride a little faster, but pushing 50 Lb. E-bike past 20 mph on the flats takes quite some effort even with the motor assist. Of it should be noted I'm 68 years old and not a slim person anymore. The Speedbox to me worth the money and if you happen to have an E-bike with a throttle it would probably really make a difference. Everyone told me "oh you'll void the Bosch warranty" but I'm not sure that's true the Speedbox doesn't seem to add stress to the Bosch system. Anyway I'm quite happy with Speedbox!

Does what is says completely removes conceivable speed limit as long as you follow
Does what it says completely removes the conceivable speed limit as long as you follow the directions and let the display turn itself off at the end of every ride before plugging the bike in for charging. I have these on 2 bikes for 2 years now without one problem. Again, you HAVE to let the firmware's software do its thing at the end of the ride and don't turn the bike off. Let it turn itself off before plugging it in. It only takes about 5 minutes. I have tested these to a top speed that I could generate on rolling hills to 45 mph.
