So I received this system before the scheduled delivery, which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately, the backboard was completely shattered also the extension tubes which were sent without pilot holes. So either I had to drill my own, which I did or wait a week until they received more units. However they did offer me a small partial refund and sent pictures of the tubes with measurements so I could drill my own pilot holes.Also they forgot to send the plate which covers the rim, so lots of issues with my unit however the service is quick and friendly they offered to send another one out but I stopped caring because it's just such a headache. The instructions are horrible and useless the diagram on the website now much better. Overall once installed the unit is solid and really high quality. I would use longer lag bolts for the roof. I'd buy again but it was very dissapointing having so many issues with my order. There are competitors for the same price I would definitely have gone a different direction if I wouldn't have to deals with all these issues.

I got this recently and things are subject to change clearly, but at this point I wish I had this info before buying.1. Instructions aren't just lacking, you really don't have a clue what they're referring to, especially if you didn't receive the proper parts for the product. Their competition has an installation video, why doesn't KATOP? When you go to their installation video, it's just a product ad.2. Maybe it's just me, but I expect someone to respond to an email within 1 full business day.3. There's no phone # for support.4. Their website appears to have latin written in parts, so basically they've just ignored it pages like Support hoping nobody will ever go there.5. They list their address as Rodeo Drive Mall in Beverly Hills... but then on a map show they're located in China. So really you're left with no clue who you're dealing with.Then the actual issue. The bracket is supposed to make a triangle, but there's a square pipe with a rounded end that connects it together that's missing on 2 sides. I can see what it looks like from ProDunkHoops installation video and it just appears they threw in a couple of pipes rather than attached the proper ones. It should be an easy install.... so I'll wait and see what the customer support experience is like and bump the 1-star rating if they can prove they're worth it.

I chose this roof mounted system after a lot of research. Ultimately it boiled down to the sturdyness of the system. The handyman that installed the system had some difficulty with installation due to the weight but said that it was overall relatively easy to install versus other systems he had installed in the past..The backboard looks great and all the neighborhood kids are gathering daily. Only time will tell if it holds up.

Came with a tempered glass backboard instead of an acrylic one as stated in the product description. Much heavier than expected, but provides nice rebound action once installed. The extension arms that attach to the mounting bracket did not come with pre-drilled holes, but KATOP quickly responded to my email and shipped replacements out the following day. Quality control could be improved slightly (e.g. dimension tolerances) given the price of the system, but overall happy with the purchase.

We purchased the 60 inch backboard. It is a very high quality product, backboard tempered glass and a NBA rim, but the extension poles did not come with pre-drilled pilot holes. Customer Service is non-existent. There is no phone number to call. I have emailed them twice. Once via the website and once directly with their customer service email provided. It has been 1 week and we have not heard back.The instructions are terrible. The website is in Latin. There is a link on the website for instructions, but the instructions are for the ground mounted pole version, not the roof top version. The instruction videos on the website are nothing more than a 60 second advertisement.Once I drill my own holes, and figure out how to mount this product it maybe good. But for $1,100 you would expect much much more in terms of Customer Service, Basic Instructions and a product that came with holes...

This was a great addition to our backyard/garage. We live in Southern California, so the weather is pretty good most of the year. Installing this professional quality hoop system gives our family and friends yet another reason to spend time outside. The kids (and me) get more exercise, and it's a magnet for party and BBQ activities. I would recommend this to a friend.
