My dog is deaf: – but lives life to the full!

Sad but true. I rescue older doggies and invariably many of them have gone deaf, or have come to me deaf already (from neglect or abuse), yet they communicate very well and I've learned to "listen." I know - for a fact - that deaf doggies - like deaf people - live full lives. It's for us, the hearing, to learn how to communicate in other, sometime, better ways with those around us.

This book is written from the perspective of someone living outside of the United States so some of the material would not apply here but this is a wonderful book! I have had deaf dogs for more than 20 years. This is a book I would recommend to any deaf dog owner. Jennifer has done an excellent job!

An interesting and inspiring book for owners of deaf dogs. The author presented the information in a manner that was both informative and fun to read. It gave hope that my puppy who is deaf will really be able to function successfully and tha I will be competent for his training.

OK, but a bit basic. I am a trainer and thought there would be more information that I did not know.

I just adopted a deaf senior dog with a wonderful personality. I wanted to see how I could better communicate.

I felt that this book was not as helpful as some others about deaf dogs.

We have a deaf Dalmatian and this was the first book I got on the subject. It is a good read and very helpful. Mostly about helping you understand that being deaf does not define the dog, his character does. Ours now very much lives up to the title of this excellent guide book. Well worth it
