Truly a great cup of espresso from a machine. This coffee makes a really smooth and flavorful cup of espresso. Flavorful chocolate flavor with a sweet aroma and smooth mouth feel. Overall a really nice cup of espresso with a mid level intensity with no bitterness. Nicely priced for a coffee straight from Naples Italy. I also appreciate the individual wrapping and do not mind them being in a plastic pod instead of aluminum. When I'm not using my regular espresso machine, this is my go to "ready to make" pod do to how easy, fast and flavorful it is.

Wow..... good flavor. Once you open the individual sealed packet, the coffee aroma just fills the air. Smells fresh and tastes very good. This is a product I will buy again.

I have always used Trombetta coffee but when my gaggia went on the blink I bought a nespresso. my purchase was the pods made for the first generation nespresso. Cafe Borbonne is a fine coffee. Good for use for the regular shot. The long shots tend to get clogged with the wet grind . That is an issue with the machine and not the coffee. I recommend it.

I wanted to try these capsules because they are made in Naples, where I have had the best espresso of my life at Bar Mexico, Caffe Gambrinus, and elsewhere. The capsules are individually, and very attractively, packaged. Beyond that, they don't work. When brewing in my Breville Essenza mini, clear water ran out for about the first second a capsule was brewing. Result? Weak espresso. Further, the flow is inconsistent, and at times seemed to strain the machine. I was getting to the point at which I was ready to throw the remaining capsules away, and then my machine decided for me by literally blowing a gasket. I attribute this to the extra pressure required to make one of the capsules work. I had to order a new Nespresso machine, which from now on will only use proper Nespresso capsules. I had about eighty capsules of the Caffe Borbone left, so I emptied them all by hand and wound up with about a pound of coffee. I just made my first pot, and it's not bad. It is not, however, worth all the trouble and expense this entire episode cost me. Buyer beware indeed!

This is very good coffee. There’s many espressos out there, but this Italian coffee is truly the best.
