Sara is back at Lakewood Dance Camp and is determined to win a summer scholarship to the New York City Ballet school. But Robin wants it, too! And things are different this year: there's a boys dance camp across the lake, new cabin mates, new teachers, and Erin isn't there. Sara is a dynamite competitor with a true passion for ballet, but that might not be enough to get her the scholarship. Everything seems to depend on performing a difficult Balanchine ballet in pointe shoes for the Student Concert. Patrick and Jackson from the boys' side complicate things, and she's stuck in a folk dance for final performance. Sara has to be a ballet standout and find a path to what she wants. Sometimes we get something different.
