which I like (Nexcare Acne Absorbing Cover
I was previously using a Nexcare acne patch product in two sizes, which I like (Nexcare Acne Absorbing Cover, Two Sizes, 36 Count). These are more economic and do the same thing. I've also tried a Korean brand that is thinner and does less absorbing (is more of just a cover). Generally, I like hydro-colloid products to cover acne that has erupted or may soon erupt, to contain bacteria, reduce picking, and promote healing. I can put one of these on and let it be for a while. They don't pretend to be invisible, and I don't wear makeup; I just wear these out into the world figuring it's better than having the zits open and out there :PBetween the Renocare patches and the Nexcare patches, some differences:- Packaging: Nexcare patches are between two layers of plastic. Renocare is just on one layer. Both are then in a sealed plastic sleeve. I personally find the single layer easier to manage.- Thickness: Renocare is thicker, neither is tapered.- Patch sizes: Nexcare Two Sizes product has two workable sizes that I would cut into smaller pieces anyway. Renocare's price is such that I don't feel the need to resize as much, but sometimes still do. They're closer to Nexcare's larger size.- Use: This wasn't clear to me with Nexcare, but you can wear these products multiple days through washings, per Renocare's insert. As mentioned, I sometimes cut them in half, thirds, or quarters. Renocare will absorb some water along those cuts, but that will dry out after a couple hours as well, and they remain stuck on. Nexcare is sometimes a little harder to get to stick on in the first place but will generally stay put once there. I just try to wash around them usually.- Wearability: Rather, how comfortable am I wearing these out of the house. The Renocare is thicker so they are less subtle. But they are little more opaque, so they almost camouflage into my skin which is light tan I guess. Overall I prefer the Renocare.

These slightly camouflages the redness from spots and reduces them after about 3 days. I wouldnt say you can apply makeup over it though. The edges are not flush with the skin so you can definitely see a circular spot.

I wish I had known about these before. They absorb acne fluid FAST! They also help discourage picking if you have that issue as well.
