I'm probably not an expert, but I have been a tea drinker my whole life. After several trips to different china town areas I learned about green tea and jasmine tea. See the reviews I wasn't sure but decided to take a chance.Considerations- tea leaves are uniform and clean- good balance of jasmine flowers throughout- good green tea flavor with a very nice jasmine aroma- learn the proper way to make Asian teas, this is not your afternoon tea bag earl grey- a tablespoon will yield two good batches of about 2 -3 cups each

I've been drinking yin hao jasmine tea every morning since the 90's. To say it's my favorite is an understatement; I've never tired of it and nothing else will do for my morning cup of tea. This type of tea normally has a wonderful aroma when you open the bag and when you brew it. I thought I'd try Tealyra as it's so convenient to order through Amazon, however, this tea has no jasmine aroma and no jasmine taste--at all. Big disappointment.

I ordered Yin Hao jasmine tea and the package I received is labeled simply Jasmine Green Tea. So is it Yin Hao? It smells fragrant, perfumed even, but the taste is flat. Like colored water when I steeped 3 minutes, better when I steeped 5 minutes. Not great.

I usually drink Yin Hoa From Peets teasbut it's hard to come by now so I am trying other Jasmine types.I found this not near as flavorful but very light. Others might like it that way. Me, not so much.

Rediscovered what I was missing. I have been experimenting with green teas again. Sencha, Mao Feng, Dragon Well, Gun Powder, etc. I had forgotten all about this Jasmine tea I bought well over a year ago. It was already opened. I steeped it like I do the others and oh my... it is so good! And what a great price!

I bought this tea when I ran out of my usual brand. Now Tea Lyra Yin-Hao jasmine is my new favorite. The bouquet has a wonderful jasmine perfume that is deliciously delicate allowing the green tea flavor to come through nicely. A really delicious blend.

I know my green tea. Buying a Yin Hao is a treat I am willing to pay for. Thought I'd try this unknown (to me) company. Never again.None of the rich jasmine sweetness and depth of a high-quality Yin Hao. Let the buyer beware. And yes - I use the right brewing temperature. This is just a really poor quality tea. 100% rip-off. If "zero stars" were available, that would be a more accurate rating.

I can give honest rating of 5 stars because I have tried other Jasmine tea and this tea is far better quality then the others. My daughter and I had tea at Japanese Gardens. We just loved the jasmine flavor. Trying to duplicate it we were thinking that would be impossible! UNTIL we tried the jasmine tea from Tealyra!! Beyond my expectations! The real thing. Love it.

leaves are not whole....a way to measure quality! also NOT certified organic i.e. may not be organic at all! Only buy certified stuff...unless you know the local grower
