Nice product, easy to install
At first is wondered about installation because there were no instructions. But then I looked at the included variety of installation hardware screws, brackets, etc. and it actually was pretty easy. The front two screws were able to be installed through my existing rear rack on my BMW R 1200 GS. I ended up using two of the longer bolts, the claw brackets, washers and wax nuts to secure the front two bolts. For the rearward two bolts I had to carefully drill through the stock rear rack on my motorcycle. By carefully I mean making sure I could get the washer and wax nut underneath the bolts, while not hurting the integrity of the stock rear rack. Once I did this, the rack was able to be secured strongly. It’s a very sturdy top case, comes on and off motorcycle easily, locks to the motorcycle and the top locks too, it should serve my needs quite nicely, and it looks great to.Full disclosure: I have not ridden my motorcycle with this case on yet, as it is winter. But I’m pretty sure it will function great.

Good value
I installed this on my 2023 KLR Adventure. Since the mounting plate in universal I did have to drill 2 holes in the rear rack in order to use 4 bolts. 2 lined up with the rack, 2 did not.I’m pleasantly surprised on the quality of this case. The latches are sturdy, the quilted interior is very nice (although it does stink of chemicals, but I’m sure that will dissipate over time). The tie off bars on the lid are very sturdy.I’m glad I bought this instead of spending more for a name brand. It’s a top-notch case.

The case received isn't the case in the description.
At this point, I'm not going to bash the product. But since it's not what was described in the description, I'm debating returning the product. First thing I notice, is that the stainless steel tie-down clips in the description are actually molded plastic on the case I've received. The "handles" are not the (separate) round aluminum rack handles mounted to the lid. They're triangular tubing, integrated into the corner reinforcement. I had this delivered to me at work, but will follow up and provide photos when I can check it out closer at home.UPDATE, 2 months in: From 3- to- 4 stars. The case has met my expectations, and at a fair price point. The construction isn't 100% watertight. They utilize hollow rivets (pop rivets), rather than blind rivets. If you ride in the rain a lot, this may be an issue, but I've only found small amounts (like- a couple of droplets) of water after a 300 mile day in the rain. And that's after I masked the rivets and sprayed with trunk liner. I'm not sure how well they will keep water out in their stock form. If you're worried, you could probably stuff the rivets with black (or silver) silicone. But they will still probably leak thru the shoulder of the rivet. The box has held up to several thousand miles of abuse, and still locks and latches solid enough not to pop open. BUT: the latch for the LID isn't secure. I can pop it open without a key when locked (with just my bare hand). And there's no adjustment available to remedy it. The gasket will eventually fail, but I can live with it.The mounting plate bolted right up to my AltRider top plate, without modification, but can be eliminated if I drill a couple more holes. I'll save that for a winter project. If I needed another top case, I would spend the money again.

This is great, buy it.
Have had it a few months and 4000 miles now. Couldn't be happier with it. Initially was worried about how cheap it was, but absolute terrific buy.Included mounting plate is hilariously overkill. It weighs more than the box itself. Probably going to make my own at some point just to save weight. But will never have to worry about it flexing or bending. Mounting to the factory 1200GSA rack was simple and took 5 minutes. Included hardware is fine, included nylock style nuts. The locking latch and nubs to the plate is excellent, I like the double redundancy of lock and having to push a button to let it move.Interior fits a XL modular helmet (not latched) would fit probably any size without issue. . The included padded liner is nice. Not sure how functional it is other than scratch resistance. Again well designed latch that hooks well, and you don't have to lock it as you need to push a button to make it unlatch.Fit and finish was perfect, all the rivets were done right, paint is perfect. Water tight, has been through several down pours and everything inside stayed dry. I like the molded corner "eyelets" and cross bars to use as tie downs if needed.

Solid box, solid value
Build quality of this top box is excellent. Very sturdy, good locking mechanism. It is an excellent value for the price and looks comparable to my BMW OEM side cases.

Not aluminum as advertised
This box is built with hard plastic walls, not aluminum as advertised . It’s very light, doesn’t seem it has any metal in it at all. The seller requires signature for delivery, I had no ideal about this at time of ordering. I had to wait for the Amazon truck to arrive from 10 AM till 6PM to sign for it, wasted a good Saturday. If you don’t want waste time, buy from somewhere else. May be you will get a real aluminum box. I sure didn’t .
