I saw this on AliExpress, but it was actually cheaper and faster to get from Amazon. My biggest fear was that it would take a lot of effort to press down, but it’s quite easy. Every push was perfect. My second biggest fear was getting aluminum foil in the grounds, but I didn’t have any issues with that, either. I did about a dozen capsules in a few minutes.Never again will I have to clean pods by hand! 🙌Tip: Maybe let your pods dry out for a day or two. All my pods were dry, except the last, and having a recycling cup full of dry grounds would seem easier to deal with.

I was skeptical but this works just as I had hoped, very simple and elegant design, easy to separate aluminum from compostable coffee grounds. Aluminum is infinitely recyclable–this is the way to go.Where I live we have the option to bring a bag to Nespresso store but I don't like the hassle of that. Nespresso gives out green recycling bags that state that after filling, just drop in your home recycling bag or box. This is not true everywhere, certainly not where I live, so I imagine that many well-intentioned people collect their pods and they end up being thrown in the trash during separation.Anyway, I actually find it fun to use.

My husband likes to recycle and it was so tedious to try and cut the little metal lid off to get the coffee out, plus it made a mess all over the counters. Would never just toss them because- well- we already do enough damage to the planet. This thing works great. Easy, no mess. Buy it- time saver.

Great way to properly recycle the pods. Pod goes into blue bin and the coffee grounds go into the green bin.
