Works great!
This was my first time using something like this. I really like how the substrate breaks down. I feel that the seeds started really well. I plan on getting more inserts and using it again for my fall plant starts.

Great product but got shorted on quantity.
These are great cubes I love them! The only reason I didn’t give this five stars is because I bought a 50 cube package which only contained 40 cubes! And yes I do know how to count!

Mold.
These smell awful! The smell like cow dung. Bad. I shouldnt have used them, but I was in a pinch. And less than a week after using them to acclimate tissue culture plants, there was an abundance of mold growth over the top of all my acclimating plants. This is potentially costing me thousands of dollars. Never buying these again.

Not sure for hydroponics
I generally have been using Viagrow Super Plug seed starters for my hydro setup but they were out for some reason the last time I went to purchase so I decided to pick up some of these VPS Organiplugs. Overall they work but interesting that they are more dense so roots seem to take longer to penetrate the material they are made out of. Also, they seem to be more susceptible to growing algae on them in my experience. I’m not sure if that is due to the nutrient that they say is a part of their recipe or not. They definitely work but I’d say that Viagro plugs are better IMHO. I’m going to use both for tomato seed starts later this week so hopefully I will have an update to pass along shortly

Good plugs. They are nice, but they don't automatically make you better at germinating seeds.
I really like the quality of the starter plugs and the packaging. I suspect there is a learning curve for them for seed starting. It has been hit and miss for me on germination success. But that could also be my overall inexperience as a gardener and in hydroponics. So far, easier to work with than rock wool, and I feel better about composting them when a plant meets its end of production.but a really good product.
