He secretly reads her spicy books to see what she likes?!!! Clay is book boyfriend material!!’ Clay is a college football safety, super hot and complete mess after his high school sweetheart dumps him. He convinces Giana, Public relations coordinator for the team to be his fake girlfriend, to make his ex jealous and help Giana land a hot musician she's been crushing on. She is a bookworm and doesn't have much experience, the only spice she's getting is from her books. To sweeten the deal Giana convinces Clay to give her lessons & spicy ones But the more they fake date, the more real it feels and lines begin to blur.I ATE THIS UP. It was so freaking good, the tension and the spice were perfect. This was the perfect read during football season! If you were a fan of The Deal then I promise you'll love this one too!!!

I really enjoyed all the tropes that were incorporated and while sometimes they can feel stale depending on the story, this one didn’t read that way. What I enjoyed most is that, while the main focus is romance, we get amazing attention to detail in the character development area. The chemistry and friendship between the two main characters was unreal and they certainly brought the heat to their lessons. 🥵👍🏻 𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐈 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝? Yep yep yep! This was my first Kandi Steiner book but it definitely won’t be my last. ‘Blind Side’ is technically considered a stand alone novel, but characters from the previous book ‘Fair Catch’ are prominent, so spoiler warning for that. This one also sets up the following book, ‘Quarterback Sneak’!

Despite the plain cover, the pages inside this book is what really counts. This is the 2nd Book in the series and I would suggest reading them in order. This is Clay and Giana's story and if possible, it's even better than Zeke and Riley's story...and I didn't think that was possible. Great characters, great teammates...I wish I had been a student at at NBU! Can't wait to read Holden's book next! A wonderful series! Keep writing more about these characters because I would love Leo's story next!
