The thin connector parts split with hand ( pushing) pressure when assembling , why send a rubber mallet ? CAUTION DO NOT USE MALLET... the box had no instructions . when looking for spare parts at lowe's none would fit so I bought food grade silicone and hose clamps to fix the cracks , leaks at most connections even with silicone , so only use outside or on concrete floor with drain . I think I will use a kiddy swim pool in basement to keep all the water in one place ,with a second aqua pump to keep the tank resevor full of water. I called the # at first , but no answer . This is a shame because I have bought from VEVOR in the past. save your money and buy dirt

Easy setup and works great so I bought another one

As the plant root grows it expands the sponge. When you finally harvest your plant the root is to large too just pull out of the sponge without destroying the sponge. Even after letting the root to dry for several days to a week and more, I couldn't remove the root with out damage beyond use. Don't buy without being able to buy replacement sponges. BTW all I grew was lettuce.
