Enchanted Earth Coloring: A Coloring Journey (Melpomeni Coloring Collection)

Melpomeni really went above and beyond when she made this book! The creativity and imagination that went into this book is inspiring and makes each page so much fun and incredible to color. One of my favorite things about this coloring book is that the pages are single sided, which allows you to use different mediums on your coloring pages! (This is very important to a lot of colorists!). The only thing I will say that I wish the paper was just a little bit thicker, but you can still use watercolor, markers, neocolor II, Inktense, and other wet mediums or mediums activated with water. I would suggest just be careful, and make sure you don't get the pages too wet(and ALWAYS put something behind your page to protect the next page/s from bleed through). For example, if you use watercolor and your color isn't as opaque or vibrant as you'd like it to look, make sure you allow it to dry completely before adding another layer or coat of watercolor, or whatever medium you are using. If you like Melpomeni's previous coloring book called "Circle of Life" then you are sure to love this book even more! It's Melpomeni's same style, but even better. There's a little something for everyone in this coloring book. There's ocean scenes, birds/ducks, mountains, fire, water/waterfalls, wolves, there's even a mermaid, and so much more! I love every single page in this book so much that I am having trouble deciding which page to color first!

I have ordered every artist quality coloring book Amazon sells. I stumbled on this one and I simply cannot rave enough about it. The drawings are fantastic and the quality of the paper is the best I have ever seen in a coloring book. You can use every medium; felt pens (no bleed), glitter pens (fantastic), color pencils (nice) and Alcohol based pens (use a backer). For alcohol based pens I put a plastic sheet behind the drawing so it does not bleed onto the next drawing; however, the bleed is the least I have ever seen. BEST COLORING EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD TO DATE. You won't be disappointed if you order her books.

Beautifully illustrated coloring book printed single sided and perforated edge. Melopmeni's drawings are wonderfully intricate and remind me a bit of Hannah Karlzon's books but are still unique. The art looks really good with alcohol markers. I have used mixed media in this book of watercolor, alcohol markers, water brush pens, oil pastels, chalk pastels, gel crayon, and good old colored pencils and it took all of them well. This is hands down my favorite adult coloring book. The picture are whimsical and fun, great detail and very creative. Paper is nice and thick. Markers do bleed through but that’s to be expected. The picture is only on one side so it’s irrelevant. Buy this, you won’t be disappointed!

I never write reviews but this coloring book along with the others by this artist is absolutely amazing. The detail is great and super unique, this is my favorite coloring book that I have owned (and I have quite a few). I have been using gel pens but have also tried markers and colored pencils, all have worked well in this book. Highly recommend!

Some are like grayscale and some have really thick lines. Paper is decent. Loved all the illustrations!!!

This book has beautiful artwork and paper. It is unfortunate that the lines are very very dark and thick. The images are very detailed so whitening the lines would be a lot of work.

I do like the art work but I don’t love the heavy black lines. Takes away from the aesthetic and picture. I gave it to a friend who loved it more. I do love the art work.
