Always keep spares
This is a perfect replacement for the 3/4HP Franklin control box. This capacitor does not have the depletion resistor that is normally seen soldered across the two terminals. This was installed on 9/18/2024 and I will provide updates about longevity as needed.

It was original part for control box for well pump until control box no longer worked. Had new box.

Mine smokes a bit but...
After install mine is smoking just a tiny bit. I had added dielectric grease to all the terminals before I installed my box many years ago because mine is outside. It is working though, so far. Franklin QD 3/4 230v 1 phase. Installed 10/23/23. Quality is same as the original. Fit perfect. Works. I bought an extra for a spare. Easy to change.I used to just buy the whole control box and then just snap the control half on. Was a waste because these are expensive. So I am trying just the capacitor replace. These go bad for me every 3-5 years. Not sure why.Update: capacitor failed within 24 hours.
