I got these because I needed some new decorative bookends, and these fit my style nicely without being too dramatic. I opted for the antique white so they won't look out of place in spring and summer, since I generally don't use much for metallics except during the holiday season.These have enough mass to keep even an assortment of college textbooks standing up, and are just about the height of a pocket paperback; they'll work for almost any book larger than toddler board books, and outperform most bookends when it comes to larger textbooks and reference books. And the price is about midrange for large sculptural bookends, but even many of the higher-priced ones are only 2/3 the weight of these; consider these a lifetime investment if you need to justify them further!

Great pieces. Very heavy and adequately decorative in any household, bachelor or not. If you need bookends, these are a great option. As pictured. Recommend.

These bookends look so nice on my bookshelf! I have them at each end of about 30 books and they hold up nicely. They are sturdy and heavy. They are also well made with no flaws that I can see. I would definitely recommend these to others!
