The Lone Wolf series of books are in my mind a must have for anyone interested in the fantasy genre. They are so rich in content, so well written and immersive that they are an excellent read. Not only that, the style of writing puts the reader in a position of active decision making rather than passively following the story. They have stood the test of time as I consider them the best works of their kind. I have re-read the series on many occasions.Flight from the Dark is the first book in the series which introduces you to the world. The established order is disrupted by an invasion that threatens everything that is good and decent; from small beginnings you follow the path of your choosing to do something about it.Highly recommended.

These new editions are published by the son of the author, and have been a work of love to return Joe Dever's legendary interactive adventure saga to the book shelves. This edition has been revised and corrected for gameplay with the original classic artwork by Gary Chalk. The adventure has lost none of its charm and excitement since I first read them back in the eighties. If you've kids who want an exciting read, or want a couple hours of escapist fantasy entertainment then these books are for you! The presentation is beautiful and there's a thriving online community to join and share adventures with!

I have been a fan of Lone Wolf almost my entire life. I remember these books originally in the 80s. In modern times video gaming has become dominant but to me, nothing beats the imagination!These are a beautiful republication of the old books. Restored with fixes and tweaks (can’t DLC Patch an old story! )Ben (Joes son) and the team have done an incredible job with these! Even suitable for new starters and introducing new members.Also included is added archives for lore nerds like myself a A brand new map too.Cannot wait for the rest of the series to come out!!!!

These books were an obsession of mine as a 9yr old back in the 80s, and while the world has opted for digital entertainment, these books are so so worthy of putting down the tablet or phone and picking up the book.This is the first book in an incredible saga. Such amazing world building, and a read for kids and adults alike.10/10 from me. I've already bought the first five definitive books. They are that good. Superb print quality, binding, artwork. Everything is first class. Enjoy!
