Works, but not very well made. If you leave in one spot, might be ok. Broke after less than 3 months.
Unfortunately, this device is not very high quality or it would earn many more stars for helping keep our Mobley powered on when the car is not running.After a very limited amount of very light use, the USB port mount broke and now the USB slides back into the connector. I can only assume the glue or plastic that holds the USB in is not strong enough. I had to use a pliers to pull it back out, but now it's a constant headache to plug it in.Other than that it works, and does the job.Updated to add, I've now had this item for less than 3 months and it is completely dead. It started powering intermittently for a few days, then it completely fried. Seller did not respond to inquiry about warranty. Unfortunately I can't recommend this product at this point.

Pinned incorrectly
I purchased this to save my time from having to make my own adapter. Unfortunately, the female ODB-II plug was keyed incorrectly. Pin 1 and 4 (1 was hot, 4 ground) instead of what it should have been: pin 16(hot) and 4(ground). At first I couldn't figure out the problem until I inspected the pins. I ended up having to disassemble and remove the hot glue from the wire ends which did not appear to be soldered, then solder the connections myself. I didn't return the product because I ended up fixing it myself. Awarded 3 stars because the kit would have been nice, but minus two stars for attention to detail, and for the fact that the mis-pin could have fried my mobley (thank goodness it didn't).

Soldering job connecting the wire to the pin-out is not good and came loose within two months of light use (minimal plugging/unplugging of the connector to Mobley ZTE device, grabbed the connector itself and not the cable). I first started noticing the issue, about a month after I got the connector, when I would move the unit and the power to my ZTE device would cut off and I would have to set it down and not move the connector for the power to come back on. It then degraded to the point where it would not power up anymore so I opened the connector case to discover a sloppy solder/glue job. It seems as though whoever put this together didn't care to make sure the solder joints were properly set and sloppily applied glue to the cable in hopes that it would stay. Well, it didn't.

Thank goodness I ordered this along with an AC adapter. The AC adapter has already started acting up but this one works like a champ!

Good customer service - originally had a defective unit
Works as it's supposed to, keeps the Mobley hotspot powered. Good customer service - originally had a defective unit, support was quick and helpful in replacing it. No issues so far with the replacement, which seems to have an improved build quality.
