Great gap filler
When the worker removed my countertop, he accidentally broke off almost a foot of the chair rail. This was the perfect mend once we caulked and painted.

I guess it does what it's supposed to do...
My flooring installation guide told me this was required for a correct installation. The length was as promised and it fits well in the space left between the floor and the wall, but I have no idea if it really does any good. I've left these out before and come back 10 years later... Everything was fine. So, what is this really accomplishing? I don't know, unless it helps fill in the gap and block air from circulating so easily in some installations. It should keep the floor from moving? But, I don't see how - you can squeeze easily between your fingers, so it doesn't resist much. Oh, well... Done and dusted.

Works as you would expect
As I sit here reading some of the reviews, I couldn't help but wonder what the expectation was for this product. It's a filler for concrete gaps. I found using a small bead of seal in there before stuffing it in place makes or hold perfectly. I covered the foam with seal and it's just fine.

Works as intended
Need to caulk the railing of drop rolling fire door and used this rope to fill the larger gaps beforehand. Works as expected without complaints.

REQUIRED for your driveway resealing project
You can go through hundreds of dollars of caulk without a backer rod. It simply fills the place of caulk you would use without it. I paid about $10 per tube of caulk. My driveway is a dumpster fire. I think the builder buried logs underneath it. Grab your caulk and come out to the driveway. You'll see.
