Side Walks: A Journal for Exploring Your City

I love these journals. This is the third one that I've purchased by Kate Pocrass and as long as she makes them I will continue to buy them. When traveling, they really push you to look at your experience in different ways other than as a tourist. Admittedly, they are a LOT of work but if you find the time and put in the effort, it is a wonderful souvenir to have at the end of your journey. I would high recommend these for anyone who's into cataloging/scrapbooking.

SideWalks would be a great book to give a newcomer to your town/city as a welcome gift, because it offers interesting ideas to help prompt exploration. It's also worthwhile for long time residents, as it will help spark renewed interest in the "old and familiar." The prompts introduced are varied enough to cover a number of different topics typical for most municipals. I keep it in my car's glove box and it's fun to pull it out and pick something to do when someone is with me to share in the discovery.

This is great little book for exploring any city, however yours in particular. It has spots for jotting notes and reviews, places to see, restaurants, etc, but what I love the most is that it also has some fine ideas and suggestions of how to look at things or ways to experiment with your surroundings. Very creative, practical and inspirational. See what has become ordinary, through new eyes.

Love the contents inside the journal! I can't wait to use it in my own city :) Very creative and adorable. I'd probably purchase more as gifts.

Not for smaller towns... only applicable to those living in a city.
