Really nice!
I was hesitant to pay this much for flat pack furniture, but I saw the reviews and decided to take the chance. And I'm glad I did! We just put this together and I have to admit that I'm impressed. It looks good, it feels solid, and it was easy to put together - it took me about an hour and a half to do almost completely by myself (I had help to put the top on). We'll see if it stands the test of time, but it certainly seems well made.

Beautiful butcher-block satin-finshed top makes this the centerpiece of our kitchen
We love our new island... we also have the pantry in the nantucket series that goes with this and both are well made, sturdy construction. Cavernous generous storage and a classy 'distressed' finish fit right in to our cozy cabin. Arrives in two large boxes and takes a couple hours to assemble, but it's worth it. The satin-finished butcher block counter top is absolutely gorgeous and very sturdy. Looks better than the photos. It's a joy to sit at this table while meals are prepared and the folding leaf is well done and pairs nicely with a couple bar stools. Would recommend at or below the 1K price.

More yellow than Off White.
This is easy to build. Everything was predrilled. Drawer slides and hinges preinstalled as well. Butcher block top is amazing and sturdy. Over all a very well made Island. The down side. It's more yellow than Off White. See the contrast in the photo. We're in the process of painting it. I would still recommend if you know this going in.

Not at all worth the money
We opened the first box and as I took the first piece out it was broke, then the 3rd piece was broke then the next was broke. It also looked like it needed painted, the color was a off white but you could actually see through the paint in some spots. It also looked like someone had already opened the box once also so Im sure it was a return before I purchased it . The quality of this product was so poor I wouldn't of paid half of what they were asking. Waiting for them to come pick this up and get our money back, totally not worth it!

Very nice with a few flaws
Sturdy and strong, yellowish-white as everyone said in other reviews, perfect size and height.Among minuses: 1) 3 weeks in, the surface developed a crack. I swear I did not leave any liquids on it or anything like that. 2) the triangular supports for the flipping extension piece are too tight, I'm concerned I'll break the hinges one day.
