I fly a lot and often check in large cardboard boxes -- damage to the box is easier to spot and claim while at the airport. Once I reach my destination, the box contents are disbursed, the box is deconstructed, and the handle tucks into my carryon luggage to be reused. I was gifted the first Strap-A-Handle carry strap 20 years ago and liked it so much shortly thereafter I bought another one. On this purchase, I ordered and received three (as the first two are showing wear) -- two standard lengths, the third extra long. The handle is heavy foam-padded to protect your hands, the strap is thick, very sturdy, and easy to spot, and the locking mechanism secures tightly -- no failure in the 20 years of using the first two. Since I'm set with my three new straps, I would buy again as gifts for friends and family. Thank you Strap-A-Handle and Amazon!

This item works as intended. However looking at the pictures I expected the handle to be a solid rubber or plastic material. That is not the case. The handle is a heavy foam. I can see it getting torn with use and also getting sticky from sweaty hands.If I was to use this every day I would return for something else, but since it is only for occasional use I will just keep and be happy.The product is built well and over all just fine. But if you want something other than a heavy foam rubber handle this is not it.

I'm giving 3 stars because 1 strap is a perfect '5', but the second strap is a '0'.Ordered two, 1 works great, the second repeatedly fails. Cost me money because I had to replace damaged product when the strap failed.I am contacting the seller to resolve the problem. Will update when that has been done.Update:Seller responded rapidly and within a few days I received a replacement strap for the one that kept failing. I am very satisfied with the product and the seller

I expected it to work simply enough, but it's pretty much useless. When it sort of works, the strap can't tighten snugly enough around a box to stabilize it, so a big heavy box flops around and is actually more difficult to carry with than without the strap. Sometimes it completely fails when a sharp tug to tighten the strap around a box somehow makes the strap pull straight through the metal D rings and become unthreaded. After that happens, the strap passes straight through both D rings just once, but the end of the strap is no longer looped back through the second D ring to secure the strap. I can't even understand how that can even happen--it's like a cruel magic trick! But when it happens, the whole strap has to be rethreaded around the D rings. At first I thought my mind was playing tricks on me, but it's happened multiple times. Maybe the D rings are shifting over each other? I wish I could get a refund.

I must hold the handrail on the stairs because I have really bad knees. Anything I carry has to be held in one hand. A case of bottled water was too big for a tote bag, so I used this. I was able to get it downstairs. When I acquired a cart designed for taking things up and down stairs, I used this like a super strong bunji cord to keep the boxes on the cart.

I have had these straps before and they are extremely helpful to grab hold and carry things especially with the foam handle. I have issues with my hands and these are great. They would be perfect if there was some sort of 'grip' adhesive applied to the strap itself so it wouldn't slide off. I have actually bought some 'grip' tape to put on and thing it will make them perfect.

For the past year my team and I have been couriering material from Hawaii to Bangor Maine and everywhere, and I mean everywhere in between. This strap has not let us down once. It's easy to use, sturdy and has given us no problems whatsoever. I have been asked many times as I transit the nations airports, where did I buy this handy handle and have even had people ask if they could carry it a bit to see how comfortable it was to use. And when your done with your delivery it folds up and is held together with a velco strap that is attached to the handle so it doesn't get lost. If your looking for something to make carrying those bulky but not necessarily heavy boxes around I can't say more about this item. I have to say one thing though. It became necessary to carry a bit more weight at one point and that put some stress on the foam handle and it begain to tear. Even with that though, I still gladly give this strap 5 stars.

While the strap itself is heavy-duty, both the clip and the handle aren't very well made. The handle is formed by sewing the strap around a plastic rod; if that should rotate at all while you're carrying it, the handle falls apart. And the clip is very weak compared to the strap. I purchased three of these, and two broke on their first use. The strap seems like a good idea, but the execution just doesn't do the job. Where a chain is only as strong as its weakest link, this design seems to have two very weak links.
