For connecting a portable generator this is inexpensive, easy to install, and a lot safer than a suicide cord.

Somewhat disappointed as to the specific writeup and pictures received with the interlock.Calls for 2 1/4 inches between main breaker and generator breaker....it is 3/8 inch short !!!!The bottom tab should fully cover both breakers for the generator.

Great price, perfect fit

This is a very clever generator interlock kit. It allows you to wire in a generator and select one by one which circuits you'd like to attach to the generator. This allows the loads to be changed on the fly to powered on by the generator. No longer am I limited to six set circuits. I can easily select any circuit I need to be powered by the generator, then select other circuits are needed to be powered as needed. I can select the refrigerator for a few hours, then switch to allow the microwave to prepare dinner. At the same time keeping the fan from gas furnace running. If we need to do a load of laundry we can swith the washing machine on for a cycle. This is so much nicer than picking six static circuits. As long as we stay within the power available from the generator, we can switch on any circuit in the house that needed.Very clever, and very safe interlock kit. This would have saved me a thousand dollars if it was available when I first installed an interlock kit. It is well worth changing out an old style interlock kit with this one. Any electrician can safely install this. Switch over during power outages is a snap. A great product at an very affordable price.

I like that I was able to find the exact part needed for the brand of breaker box I have. High quality, thick enough gauge of material to be comfortable using it for such a vital function. Labels on it make it easy to understand how to use it when needed. I strongly suggest that you have an electrician install it just for safety. This item is easy to install, but the chance of a fatal accident by a do-it-yourselfer is high given the voltage involved. A person can also find the generator hookup on Amazon, buy both product and have the electrician install them. Great product, I have been looking to add a generator hookup for the house for years. Much less expensive than a big box store and easy to find.

I ordered a product for a Cutler Hammer panel. This interlock kit does not fit it. If the main breaker was centered, it might but this Cutler Hammer CHJ77 panel does not work with this interlock kit. The kit seems like it's a nice quality product but it doesn't fit which is disappointing since that's what was advertised. Question for the vendor, do you make the right kit for my panel?
