Golf Balls did the job! A previous review mentioned you can tell the difference between the balls by one having a hew of pink and one having a hew of blue. This was absolutely the case. If you look closely at the picture you can even see it there. We took the advice of the previous review and used a sharpie to color the ball that was going to be hit (worked great couldn't see through it). I wanted it to be a complete surprise and BOY was it! The cool thing was, my wife was able to hit the other ball afterwards to join in on the fun.

Awesome, lots of powder! Made for great pictures. My concern was "what if it's not enough powder?" But it was a success!

If you want a surprise, DON'T BUY THESE GOLF BALLS! The balls are somewhat translucent, as shown in the picture. I bought them and wanted to be surprised along with our friends, but when I stood over the golf ball to hit it I could clearly see the blue color through the outer shell. Way to ruin the surprise, team golf ball.

We ended up using the pink one ne. It exploded on contact as advertised. I was expecting a bigger puff of pink. But it got the idea across.

A lot more powder came out than I expected. Very happy with purchasing these for my husband.

I could see the color of the powder through the plastic.
