Mepitac 298300 Soft Silicone Tape, 3/4" x 118" anrpbM, 2 Pack

This silicone tape, by Mepitac, is an amazing product. I've recently used this product due to an injury that I needed to get surgicially repaired. I searched for ways to protect the healing scar, minimize the scar and keep the scar secure while I am working (the scar is/was quite sensitive when bumped). Luckily, I came across this tape. When I am wearing the tape, I do not feel as much pain when something bumps into it. Also, the tape appears to have reduced the scars appearance. I have been wearing this tape on and off for a couple months now and I must say that I am very impressed. I believe my scar is healing more quickly than it would without the tape.The tape is very strong and it stays in place; even when in water for prolonged amounts of time. I also want to note that I have a very physical job and the location of my injury is in constant motion/contact; this tape rarely falls off (after many many hours and under strenuous conditions). The tape also lasts me quite a long time; however, the injury is rather small (about 1-2 inch long). Overall, I highly recommend this product and I would not hesitate to buy it again. I have already ordered 3 rolls and I am extremely pleased!

I had top surgery two months ago, and my scars are two feet long all the way across my chest. I was trying to use ScarAway strips, but I had to cut them in half and use a total of four strips (8 half-strips) to cover my scars! Plus having to remove and wash and dry them every day was simply not feasible.My surgeon had me use this brand instead. I can measure and cut them for each side of my chest in two long strips (one for each side), and I leave them on for a full week before replacing them. I can shower and dry without them even coming off. The inside edges on the middle of my chest do start to peel up by the end of the week, but that's to be expected because that part gets moved the most.I've only been using them for 3 weeks now, so I can't attest to how much they help the scar fade, but they have been a life saver in preventing my scars from stretching and thickening! I can sleep peacefully without worrying about stretching my scars every time I toss and turn at night.My surgeon is having me come back after 3 months to see how much this has helped my scars fade, but I've been told to expect to be wearing these 24/7 for 3-6 months. I started using scar strips after my stitches had dissolved and skin had healed, around 4 weeks after surgery.If you have LONG scars, do yourself a favor and buy these! They're so much easier than other brands!

I had a tummy tuck a year ago. Compared to the $50 boxes they charge for scar tape, this product is good on my skin and actually works. I’ve used it for a year now and will stop in a month because scars stop developing then. I’ve used it consistently for a year, a new tape everyday on top of topical silicone scar gel (siligen). Mederma under the tape will aggravate my skin. I can tell on nights I’m too tired to put tape on my scar gets a little raised (tummy tuck scars are known for that). I hope this review helps another person in the same boat I was in.

I have fair skin and normally my scars take on a deep red/purple color. I started using this tape about 2 weeks after my surgery and they have done an amazing job. My scars are light pink and they haven't raised up at all. The tape stays on for 3 or 4 days depending on how active I am. I go swimming most days and it even stays on in the pool. Very satisfied so far, hoping the results will last even after I stop wearing the tape every day.

Works well, although I wish you could wash the sweat off then reuse but they're pretty much useless after they get wet. If you can keep them dry, they can be reused maybe up to 3 or 4 times. I'm using this product following breast reduction. I cut what I need for lollipop and anchor scars around nipple and under breast. The effect is slow to see results, but product does stick well. Definitely worth the price. You get quite a lot on the roll.

This tape works great but not from this supplier/seller. I had purchased this tape from another seller on Amazon after surgery and it lasted me a while and was great. When I purchased it again from this seller the tape arrived very crinkled and raised where the tape isn't touching the backing at several spots throughout the entire roll. I have to re-tape much more often. The other tape I could go 3-5 days before replacing on my arms, with this tape I have to replace every morning. Please see the picture attached. I believe all the raised spots where the tape is no longer attached to the backing has made it lose it's stickiness so I have to replace more often. Both rolls came like this. Will not purchase from this seller again but would absolutely purchase this tape from another seller. Just make sure the tape comes smooth and rolled correctly and it will work properly.

I have gone through three orders of this stuff. I had VERY large scars on my chest. They used to be deep purple and raised. They have since become faint pink and are almost entirely flat. I plan on an additional two rounds before I think my scars will be almost invisible. I put this on my scars and I leave it for a week before cleaning the scar and replacing the tape. You can shower with it on. I work out and have had no rash or breakout. If you are between getting a pricey gel or tape, I advise the tape. You put it on and forget about it. You don’t have to reapply and run the risk of something rubbing off or washing off.

Good product but not hypoallergenic. My adhesive allergies usually take a bit to ramp up, so I was able to use it for a few weeks before I started getting rashes under the tape and went into this knowing that might be how it goes down. It helped a lot in the first few weeks after bandage removal and stayed on in the dead of summer through 1-3 days of showers at a time. It made early post surgical management a lot easier. Just beware if you have adhesive allergies. All in all it exceeded my expectations for the time I could use it.
